This kiosk does what it says it says on the tin. The warm, friendly greeting from the young man who served us set the tone for a pleasant evening.
We ordered the chicken fritira and smoked salmon salad, and were then recommended the apple tart with ice cream. Fantastic fresh flavours and the fritira are to die for - the bread looks, smells and tastes wonderful, and the sound of the crust crunching is amazing. The fritira across the island are generally wonderful.
We also had two beers, all of which came to less than €35!
I’m marking the atmosphere as 4 stars only because we are at night and there was nobody around but I’m certain this would be a 5 stars only review had we turned up during the day with the hustle and bustle of of people milling around (it’s perfectly placed for a quick lunch or coffee after visiting the windmill and temple).

Read moreThis cafe can be found just outside the Ta Kola windmill. There is a seating area around the back which has a gazebo to keep out the rain and wind.
The food was affordable and tasty. I recommend the Ftiras, which are basically a sandwich using a type of Maltese bread.
