Audrey is one of the World's unsung heroes. She runs a great bar that provides everyone with excellent food and drinks. She works like a Trojan and has a friendly smile for everyone. Her team are also hard working and friendly. Food is beyond expectations for a small town bar, quite amazing, tasty and presented better than many pricey restaurants! Needless to say it was not pricey. When asked for "a glass of delicious local wine" that's exactly what she produced. The bar is warm and exciting in its style and decor, its small so you may the to wait for a table but it's well worth the wait, you will not be disappointed. I rarely write reviews, but this experience was too frustrating to ignore. We waited over an hour for our food to arrive — and this wasn’t even during peak hours. No one came to check on us or offer any explanation for the delay. When the food finally came, it was lukewarm and underwhelming at best.

A great find. We were going to another restaurant in the same area which had been recommended by a well-known holiday advisory site. As we were walking from the car we encountered Audrey, who is the proprietor, as she was putting out the Evening Specials board. We asked her about the menu and decided to go in. We were not disappointed. The bar/restaurant is small and cozy with seating for around 20 and is, quite simply, beautifully decorated, possessing an old world charm.
