We recently had dinner at this Japanese restaurant and faced a disappointing situation. Upon arrival, we informed the waiter that my wife cannot eat raw sushi, while I can. I requested a sushi platter with both raw and cooked sushi. Despite the waiter’s recommendation for a different set, we opted for another that included local tuna, hoping to try local flavors. We confirmed with the waiter that half the sushi would be cooked, to which he agreed.

However, when the sushi arrived, it was all raw. I tried to persuade my wife to eat some, but it was not possible for her. We asked if they could cook the fish, but the waiter refused, stating they couldn’t alter the menu. If we had known all the sushi would be raw, we wouldn’t have ordered that set. The lack of flexibility and clear communication left us very disappointed. she end up picked out all the raw tuna and only eat the rice part😂

Reply to the management team: Like i said in the comments, 1: we asked specifically if the tuna delice contains at least half cooked sushi, and the waiter responded yes. The menu doesn't explain that item contain raw fish or not. We have to rely on the waiter's words.

WE DIDN'T ASK FOR ANOTHER SUSHI FREE OF CHARGE. We only asked if the sushi can be put on flame again or if there is something else we can do. Please investigate further and don't say something...

We celebrated a milestone 50th birthday at Osaka Sushi Beach Restaurant in Flic en Flac, and it was a truly special evening. We ordered the stunning 50-piece sushi platter a perfect choice for the occasion. Although we were a bit disappointed that eel wasn't available, the tuna substitute more than made up for it — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated.

There was a bit of a hiccup with our server, who seemed either new or not fully confident in understanding our English. That said, the experience was saved (and elevated) by a manager or owner who kindly stepped in to double-check our sushi selections and ensure everything was right. His professionalism made all the difference.

A special shoutout to Keith, the bartender, who not only made great drinks but also played a beautiful version of “Happy Birthday” that added a truly heartfelt touch to the night.
