CAFEHONGKONG — Restaurant in Isle Mauritius

Honest review from a tourist:

We came to this restaurant because of great reviews. The restaurant was empty when we came but we did not mind. What I thought immediately should be improved was hygiene. There were no hand sanitizers whatsoever.

Then we ordered beef dim sum, fried rice with beef, fried noodles with beef and fried wantan. The meals did not all arrive at once but one by one.

The dim sum were honestly terrible - they were dry and hard to chew, pieces of tendon. Yuck. Fried rice was honestly one of the worst we ever tried. It also did not look appetizing.

The best dish was the fried noodles with beef. But even that was below average.

For the last dish - fried wantan - we waited 30 minutes after the 3 of us had already finished. After that we asked and found out they had forgotten. So we left. One of us completely hungry. DO...

They have nice moon kiow soup! Their mine bouille is good too. It is a nice place to have lunch. However, it is quite expensive now and if ever you want a small portion, thinking you will pay less than the normal portion, you are wrong. They just charge you the normal price and they don't tell you until you go pay and say that they put more meat in your small portion... also Mr. lewis doesn't work...

One of the most delicious mine bouille dishes I've ever had! The flavors are truly exquisite. The staff at Cafe Hong Kong are incredibly friendly and made my dining experience even more memorable. This is definitely a must-visit spot. Can't wait to...
