Mr Bao.mu — Restaurant in Isle Mauritius

A Pao at Mr Bao!!! Fair experience overall. If you never tried pao before, Mr Bao is a good place to have one. With a price tag of rs99 for each single pao, you can try having two different menu. If you’re a big eater, one only won’t cut it for you. The menus are simple, a crispy chicken/fish nugget, some onions, one lettuce leave and some sauce. Could have really stuff more ingredients if not for the meat. Would be really great if some addons could become optional in the future. Like for e.g cheese, pine etc.. As for the service, nothing out of the ordinary. Just the usual. And as for the place/setup, don’t have high expectations. But for the pao and price tag, it’s meant as a quite bite place where those things won’t matter. Mr Bao offers a nice quick pao bite place but lack of freshness and variety will make you wish there...

First Timer.

Got mixed feedback on the place but unfortunately went there with higher expectation and was quite disappointed. Food was limit ok. Felt a bit rushed to select my order. I don't really remember the order exactly but I ordered some pan fried dumplings but received some sort of deep fried balls which was very oily and nearly cold. It came like 30 seconds after paying so surely was prepared well before and don't really know if this was the correct order as the staff just came by put it on the table without a word. I am pretty sure I know what pan fried dumplings look like. The bao buns came and chicken inside was like watery and buns breaking just by picking it, only good thing was the veggies in the buns and pickle.

Hi guys your representative, fair skinned lady working in your Tribeca restaurant who doesn't speak french or creole on Saturday night.

Extremely impolite, doesn't say hi, isn't welcoming, I asked her what the dessert was made up of she tells me she doesn't know and didn't make any effort to answer my question.

I asked to speak to the manager, she said no one here can help me.

She just repeated the name of the dessert as if I magically will understand what's in there when she says it.

She really didn't give a damn.

Terrible, appalling service guys, it's a shame cause your food...
