I recently visited Grand Canton with my family, and we were thoroughly impressed! From the moment we walked in, the warm ambiance and attentive service set the tone for a memorable dining experience.
We ordered a variety of dishes to share, and every single one was a hit. The Peking duck was perfectly roasted with crispy skin and tender meat, served with all the traditional fixings. The whole steamed fish was fresh and delicately seasoned, a true standout. We also enjoyed the fried calamari, which was golden and crisp without being greasy.
The lemon chicken had a bright, tangy flavor that balanced beautifully with the savory black bean prawns. Paired with fluffy white rice, the meal was both satisfying and well-rounded.
Overall, the food was absolutely delicious and well worth the price. Grand Canton delivered on quality, taste, and value. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine...
Read moreThe best Chinese culinary experience on the island. The chefs there are taking Chinese food to another level! Like a fine cuisine version of it, where they always find the perfect balance of flavours and textures.
All the dishes on the menu are appetising but some are to die for: Fish and Century Egg Soup. The light yet flavourful broth is a gentle way to prepare your taste buds for the journey; like a warm-up. Peking Duck - time to stretch those taste buds after the warm-up session, with a perfectly balanced combination of flavours and textures. Munching into the soft juicy slices of duck, combined with the crunchiness of the fresh vegetables, topped with the savory sauce. BLISS! For mains, the peking style fish, the Japanese tofu, Black pepper beef steak and sizzling plates are highly recommended.
These are some of my personal favourites after being a regular there for years, but I suggest you go through...
Read moreI had ordered some take away from a hospital and received an absolutely horrible, inedible “braised eggplant with salted fish flavor”. Arguably they’ve put too much liquid smoke in the dish otherwise there can never be a horrible overly artificial burnt flavor that hurts your stomach after one bite. I couldn’t even dare to try one more bite. Threw up immediately afterwards. The hot and sour soup and cantonese fried rice was nothing special, it was honestly sad soup with some dry rice. It took me so long to find taxi and organize the pick up, I had really high hopes after the reviews, but can’t trust google reviews anymore. I hope anyone who eats here doesn’t set their standards to chinese food from their dishes. Chinese speaking chefs, chinese interior, and some fancy chinese menu doesn’t mean it’s authentic. Street foods in china even tastes 100%...
