Restaurant Canton — Restaurant in Isle Mauritius

I had fond memories from some years ago that made me excited to visit Restaurant Canton on Rampe Street in Port Louis. However, my experience this time was disappointing.

The poor condition of the dining area and low hygiene standards were concerning. The service was slow, and when I raised my concerns about the delay, the waiter responded with an attitude, saying, "Ki to envi faire..." This was quite disrespectful. Additionally, the Chinese man at the till had an attitude as if he was doing us a favor.

Unfortunately, these experiences have made me decide never to return to this restaurant, and I cannot recommend...

I’ve been going to Restaurant Canton for years, and it’s still one of my top picks for Chinese food in Port Louis. The special fried rice is absolutely to die for—flavorful, satisfying, and consistently delicious. Their crispy wings are another favorite: perfectly cooked with just the right crunch.

The chili they serve is also fantastic—bold, spicy, and full of flavor. It adds the perfect kick to any dish. Whether you're a regular like me or trying it for the first time, Restaurant Canton delivers great food with solid value every time.

Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Chinese cuisine in the heart...

It was the first time i was gonna eat there and let me tell you that the food was disappointing(there wasn’t carrots in our bol renverser, prawns weren’t cooked fully and the some of our dishes weren’t served correctly with all the ingredients they said that will be present). Also some of the staff were trying their best and the managers of the restaurant were only rude to their staff.

After that, everyone that went there with me that day got severe stomach pains and got diarrhea for about 2-3 days.

I sincerely do not recommend...
