Worst McDonald's ever. Avoid it at all cost. I understood it was lunch time and there were a lot of people so I waited patiently in line for my order. After 30 minutes and after my order number disappeared from their screen a long time before, I tried to ask one of the employees if my order is still coming. She looked and my invoice and said just one moment. I waited and she completely ignored my question as she did not ask in the back. I left and went to the kiosk to get my money back. They refused and the lady took my invoice and went to the pickup area to talk to the manager. Like a miracle my order appeared. And the manager was rude that I just came and I want my order even if I explained that I have been there for 30 minutes. And of course if I wanted my money back to go eat someplace else it was my right. I received my order. About half portion of fries and fries thrown there and a milkshake with a lint which I threw away. I talked to another manager who except to tell me to go againg to the first manager and ask for a new milkshake didn't do anything. Or even say anything. So avoid this at all costs. I for sure I will never go back

There’s truly no other McDonald's like this one - fully functional, well-run, and still incredibly magnificent. The entrance, with its Roman-style cuniculi, feels like stepping into a Star Wars wormhole, connecting the modern McDonald's interior with what seems like a desecrated church from a previous millennium. The automated ordering displays sit beneath ancient-looking vaults, creating a surreal contrast where you can order a shake and enjoy it just steps away from the historic stone Barcaccia fountain in Piazza di Spagna. I’m not sure when it was last renovated inside, but it looks like it was just last week - or perhaps they’ve mastered the art of keeping it spotless. This McDonald's serves as a sanctuary for anyone craving familiar food, whether it's tourists looking for a taste of home or parents with kids begging for something familiar and affordable. Don’t lie to yourself - sometimes touching base with something known is a comfort, even amidst the wonders of Roman cuisine. This McDonald's perfectly blends the familiar with the extraordinary, making it a unique experience worth the visit.

We were out early and few places were open. We wanted a quick bite so we stopped in. All the options we see in the US were on the menu and more. We entered from the street and saw a counter with pastries and coffee choices. We asked about other options for breakfast and we were directed upstairs. There we found kiosks for ordering and a counter for pickup. Ordering was simple enough with options for a number of languages. All payment options were available. We ordered and took the receipt to the counter and our food was ready in minutes. It was fresh and tasty exactly like we expected. Our cappuccino was delicious. We even watched as our orange juice was freshly squeezed. We were early so it wasn’t too crowded, but I imagine it gets busy for lunch and dinner. The restrooms were nice and clean. There was lots of seating. When you tire of the usual pastry or panini options this might be a good alternative.

Ordered soft serve ice cream cone. Unlike other McDonald’s they don’t make the cone and come out to call with the food in hand. Instead the guy called my number with nothing prepared so I thought it was a glitch. I kept waiting until someone in my group asked an employee, who then told the guy working the counter to make the cone. This is really weird to me because no other McDonald’s I’ve been to in Italy does it this way. They always make the ice cream and come out with it. Maybe here they want to make sure you are there before putting out the ice cream (quick melt)? Still, did not like the inconsistency. Had no idea this is an old McDonald’s. I did notice the fancy artwork decorating the hallway to stairs. Impressively spacious on second floor. And the baked items are cheap on the first floor. One euro croissants!

This is the firs and oldest McDonald's in Rome/Italy. I had to stop by to see what all the fuss was. Well, the ambiance was very different than in the states. It is more upscale and designed completely different than the small location in the US. Very beautiful. The food choices were different. They had the typical burgers and fries, but also had chicken wings, gelato, and tons of sweets/pastries. Even a coffee bar section. It's been a while since I've had MDs in the states, but the taste seems slightly different with everything I tried. There is no real service as I am assuming with other locations. The place was nice and clean as well. There is quite a history to this place. It's a must visit if you're in the area.

Most of the staff did not know English and the service attitude was terrible👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻. Waiting more than an hour for food and being told it was already ready was because I didn't hear the numbers they shouted. But the fact is that 4.5 employees were asked, and all were told to look at the number of screens, and were treated lightly. I ended up making my food in a couple of sort of garbage areas. 👎🏻I felt discriminated against. Moreover, people were denied access, probably due to a system crash. But our underage sister was refused entry despite being told we had already ordered. In the New Year, I will wish God that they will not be happy in the days to come.
