Raíz Bacalar — Restaurant in Bacalar

I recently visited El Raiz and unfortunately had a less than satisfactory experience. The breakfast was marred by a serving of old salad which the waitress was unable or unwilling to offer fresh, citing that the mixture had been prepared a long time ago. The coffee that was offered was cold and needed to be either renewed or reheated in the microwave. The taste was correspondingly terrible. Additionally, swimming was not possible as the pier belonged to the hotel.

To make matters worse, my fruit salad contained something that was both unpleasantly odorous and resembled dried or old vegetables or herbs. When I asked the waitress about it, she apologized, but no alternative, goodwill gesture, or compensation was offered since I was unable to enjoy my meal.

Despite these issues, the atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant, and the decor was tasteful. However, the experience was ruined by the poor quality of the food and drink. I hope that El Raiz takes steps to address these issues so that future patrons can enjoy their meals and drinks without...

We visited for the first time and wow! This restaurant is a little hidden in the costera road but you must visit and try their breakfast. They have a good selection, my favorite was French toast and avocado toast (must order an extra egg if you want protein), coffee and juices...

I was a guest at Aldea and I have to say the included breakfast is disappointing. Eggs every single day and not even a single alternative (unless you pay extra).
