5 stars for the ambience, design, and logo.
We really wanted to like the place, but it fell short of service and taste.
The server was really nice, but we waited over an 1 hour for an avocado toast that never arrived. We saw other people arriving after us receive their food orders, so we mentioned the avocado toast to another server and we think the original waitress forgot to place it because he had no clue what we were talking about. She is doing multiple things, so we understand how she could of forgotten, so we asked to cancel the toast and pay for our items and she said he’s making it now.
She never came back to give us the check, so she forgot to do that too. When we went up to the front to try and pay, she ignore us, so someone else helped out.
Latte/Capp was unfortunately bitter. I would suggest trying something else besides an espresso drink.
They do have free WiFi and the atmosphere is very relaxing, welcoming, and modern. Perfect spot for a little solo laptop time.
We hope that this was just our experience, so hopefully...
Read moreThe coffee was good quality roast. I would give it a 7/10 with very strict standards of coffee so this would be a experience for those that don't drink coffee as a passion. Brewed well, not acidic.
The food was good we did order a lot of types. The chilaquiles (in pic), turkey panini, egg omellete, berries French toast (in pic) and mozzarella pesto pinini (in pic)
I would recommend the turkey panini the turkey is flavorful, rich texture, and filling.
Seating - 5/10 - there is limited seating outside and usually patrons will be sitting outside or in the private rooms. This is a nomad spot for traveller's and those working remotely.
Pet friendly - yes, but they are at times not leashed which can be frustrating for those that dislike having an animal near food or get uncomfortable around them.
The atmosphere is mainly outdoor seating and I believe 1 bathroom for the entire spot. This is a very chill, quiet, and relaxing place to sip some quality coffee.
If you plan to purchase the coffee you need to declare it at the border entry...
Read moreI have mixed feelings about the Coffee Lab. I love the vibe and the atmosphere. The music is always great and I really like the sense of community the Coffee Lab has. They are always doing cool events for the community and host a lot of DJ nights. So I think that all of those things make up for the sub-par coffee and food. Sometimes the coffee and food is really good, but sometimes the same things will not be that good. It’s really inconsistent. The food and coffee looks good, but it often doesn’t taste good. And parking is super hard to find. But it’s in a great location. You can walk to the Art Walk and the estuary from here. And dogs are allowed. All in all, I recommend this place for the vibes and people, not so much the...
