Visited this place on 12/29 for a family dinner for a group at 6:30. We were seated right away and placed under a fan. We asked the hostess if she choked turn off the fan, and said she would. She did not. We asked our server, and he pulled the string on the fan twice, but it did if did not turn off. After he left, we pulled the string again to turn it off.
The server did t seem very friendly. There could have been a slight language barrier, but we spoke both English and Spanish.
We ordered our appetizers, mussels in white wine sauce. There was no addition plate provided for the empty mussels and no spoon was provided to taste the white wine sauce. The mussels were good and so were the croquettes.
Our dinner came and two of the four dishes were incorrect. They quickly corrected this, which was good. However, between the time we ordered our food and were done eating, our server had not stopped by to ask us how our meal was or just check on us, which was odd. We were waiting to see the dessert menu, but we waited ten minutes and requested the bill.
Food is decent, but the service from this specific server was horrible. We received more attention from other servers who were very nice.
I would stay away based on our service. W should not have to constantly ask for service when we are paying for a...
Read moreI highly recommend the restaurant. From what I understood it is a relatively new presence and I can confirm that four years ago there were only two other locate on that street. The barrelled low ceiling at the entrance is impressive and contrast positively with the green expanse of the interior court. The lush vegetation helps lowering the usual heat and the placement of the tables on different levels adds to the construction of a joyful three dimensional garden .The service is impeccable, the waiters multilingual and very supportive, skilful in the practice, knowing all protocols and not being overwhelming, high-browed or excessively familiar. The patron works elbow to elbow with the others and it is ready to chat or explain what’s what with great grace and discretion. Food is absolutely amazing (the little selection we made), very finely balanced (ingredients, quantity and presentation) and the drinks we choose (St. Germain spritzer and Mojito) were delicious. The prices are addressed to the median to high budget but very well deserved. Great music and...
Read moreThe good is easy to describe with great and kind service, and the lovely installation. The restaurant is pretty, clean, open, and has an enjoyable atmosphere.
The food can be described from bad to great based on our experience as follows: I tried a salad. It was beautiful, fresh, tasty, with so many pops of flavor. It set a high bar for what was coming later. 5 stars Fettuccini fruti di mare was ok. It had good ingredients, and I could tell the pasta was good/fresh at some point recently, however maybe a bit messed up during cooking. Lacking sauce and a little something else, but still good. 3.5 stars. The penne pesto was plain bad. The pasta itself was colorless and tasteless. The pesto was missing everything: basil, olive flavor, salt, nuts, pepper, color, all of it. It just didn't taste... And it did appear to have butter idk why. 1 star.
With some recipes being improved and some others corrected, I believe the rest has great potential. It's nothing a good chef couldn't fix within a week. Hopefully this...
