This is the only time in all of my restaurant experience that I've walked out of a restaurant where it had nothing to do with the food. Despite not being Korean in many of the ways that matter, like they don't even have the Korean names of things on the menu, I was really genuinely excited to eat a lot of meat and shrimp, and to get some jjapchai. I was a bit thrown off that they didn't have hot tea of any sort, let alone green or barley like you might expect, but that's not a problem. Everyone does "Korean influenced" a little different and I didn't have high expectations
Then suddenly right as I had ordered two guys stood up and screamed into little megaphones. I had just taken my ear plugs out to order(it was already very loud). I didn't hear what they were saying but maybe it was a birthday. Then they played that stupid waoo waoo waooooo noise that you hear on the radio. Then an extremely loud song started to play much louder than the normal music. It was so loud that I just said "no puedo", and walked out. I turned around and listened. After the music died down I went back in and said "what was that?". We switched to Spanish and they told me that it was "baby shark" the song. I said "why did you play that so loud?". They said "because it's a birthday". I said, ok, I want to eat here but I can't if that's going to happen again. They said "it's going to happen every twenty minutes".
They seemed to be very proud of themselves and confused that anyone wouldn't love his as much as they do. I would like to share a story about two Oklahoma jail guards sued for torture related to the baby shark song.
This place really deeply sucks, and I can say that without...
Read moreArrived about 5 on Saturday for $15 ayce dinner, $2 beers,$6 sujos and mixed drinks. A long line about 60 people was ahead of us. Took 2 hours to get in, waited 15 min for a table, then 15 minutes more to order. Mexican techno music was very loud like a dancing club. Lots of families with young kids eating , swaying to music. The place was crowded, noisy and hectic.
Menu was small. Ribeye steak was good. Brisket was sliced too thin, too salty. Bulgogies and pork bellies were way to sweet, no meat taste left. Tripe and intestines were available but I did not try. Cajun shrimp was mushy, tasteless of the rehydrated type, not fresh or frozen. Korean side dishes, kimchi, salad were ordered but not served, no dipping sauce. Waiters and servers were hurried and hectic.
Dinner with a beer and tip total $19 per person. Not enough ventilation for the grill. I smelled like grilled meat from head to toes after dinner.
Food quality is average, price is low but this place is not worth the long wait. It feels like a low price high volume eating place.
A Brazilian grill nearby is much nicer, has bigger selections, better meat qualities professionally grilled, huge, fresh salad soup pasta bar with lower prices on week nights,...
Read moreFood is good. Service is ok. What stood out for me was when my family got to the door no one sat us down. We had to ask if we would chose our own table or if we needed to wait to be seated, the guy just nodded & sat us down. Our waiter Cristian Ivan explained to us how the buffet worked. Something that caught my eye was the waiters were drinking shots with other tables. Didn’t pay attention until some random waiter came to out table & gave us a bottle of water none of us had ordered. & my husband told him we didn’t order water & he made a face at us & left. He looked a bit tipsy. Then some other waiter was carrying a plate with tongs & scissors & he dropped both utensils to the floor by accident & the scissors slid all the way to my booth & he just kept walking. When we were about to pay out waiter Ivan said he recommended we tipped over 15% because he had to share the tip with other people. I’ve been to many restaurants I’ve never been told to tip a specific amount. & most definitely have never seen waiters taking shots. Before we left I asked the receptionist Ashley if they allowed their waiters to drink while serving & she said it was ok … I’ll never go back, it’s such a bummer because the...
