2 stars... and this is for the front desk lady. About 3 month ago we were originally going to stay at Lucerna but decided to stay at K tower (this was our first time). Don't get me wrong, the hotel is very nice and service was great when we arrived, BUT...... The receptionist went over the available rooms and we decided to stay in one of the lofts which cost us about $350 US dollars the night(which is not cheap, but we were treating ourselves). Everything was going well and she proceeded to charging our debit card, THEN...!! After she charged us she said that we needed to leave a credit card on file because they needed to put a $10,000 pesos/about $550usd holding deposit on it (for room purposes i guess and to charge room service if requested). We were ok with it and explained to her that she could use our debit card to leave it on file, she then said that they actually needed a credit card not a debit for this. I only carry about 1 or 2 credit cards with me when I go to TJ in case of an emergency and usually it's the ones with very limited credit for security reasons. We mostly use our debit for purchases or to withdraw $ and carry limited cash with us, and so far we have never had any problems. After trying about 2 credit cards, which I figured they wouldn't go through because of the limited credit limit, i explained to her that the only way was to put the hold on my debit (we had the funds there so there was not going to be a problem) she then suggested that if we had the $10,000 cash maybe she could talk to the manager and do it that way( seriously who randomly carries that $ cash) and obviously we weren't about to go through the inconvenience of having to go to an ATM) By this point we were very upset by the fact that before she even had CHARGED our DEBIT CARD for the room, she should've mentioned the whole deposit thing having to be charged on a credit card specifically. We ended up canceling and of course with $350usd less in our account having to wait about 4-5 days to get them back into our bank account (at least we got the $ back in a timely manner) but still, why have to wait for your own $ if this could've been prevented if she would've been clear and explained everything before charging us. As i mentioned the hotel is beautiful and service when we arrived was great, but this whole inconvenience was a no good first impression. Maybe in the future I'll give them another chance, but this time I'll know...

The price-quality relation is truly disappointing.
Average size rooms starting at a $150 price point heading up to $1000. -These prices do not include the "Safety deposit" you will have to pay upon check in.
Stayed at a mediocre room which apparently qualifies as a "loft" (average 50sqft.) $350 per night and a $500 deposit (never mentioned when booking) which can only be payed with a credit card or straight up cash (debit cards get the deposit returned up to 1 year later on the worst case scenario).
Room service is decent but of course not worth not the inflated prices. (Not to mention the check already includes the service fee and they still expect you to tip more).
Room cleanup service was done properly only the first 2 nights, the remaining days it was lacking and incomplete.
Staff was overall good except for one of the reception workers - Fernanda; her attitude was extremely rude and unpleasant, our first night we got neglected entry to the hotel by her. Second night we asked for an extra keycard and she just ignored us. Terrible attitude. We also noted some minor difference in the way we were treated due to our nationality.
Noise; do not stay on any room on floor 6, the noise that comes from the restaurant upstairs makes it unbearable to sleep; clearly noise insulation wasn't planned for these rooms. It is not possible that you're paying so much for these terribly built rooms.
TL;DR: Don't stay here if you have other options, this isn't a hotel worth the price and it has several issues that just...
Read moreI’ve been on Trip Advisor for a long time and have never posted a review. I felt compelled to do this after staying at the K Tower Hotel for the past 2 weeks. My wife and I decided to go to Tijuana for alternative cancer treatment at the Oasis of Hope Hospital in Tijuana. Needless to say neither of us was very excited about the prospect of spending several weeks in Tijuana. However all of that changed once we found the K Tower hotel. From the manager Jose to the concierge Christian and Marcos and all of the wait staff in the excellent restaurants we have been more than satisfied with our stay here. Everyone goes out of their way to make sure we are comfortable and all of our needs are met. Our room is huge and extremely clean. Both the downstairs pool and the upstairs rooftop pool are gorgeous! The rooftop bar, pool and hot tub are straight out of Architectural Digest and are top notch. There is a DJ most nights playing really good music. ||||The food in the 3 restaurants is amazing- fresh fish, beef, chicken and vegetables with amazing presentation and so is the room service for that matter. Rooftop sushi is excellent and fresh. ||||If you find yourself in Tijuana please don’t hesitate to stay here at the K Tower or its sister property the Hotel Lucerne (they...
