IHOP Minarete — Restaurant in Baja California

I was there this morning coming from the hospital with my kid to have a great time just to discover IHOP in TJ doesn't have 222!!! I spent 180 seconds trying to find out an alternative in this "first time for me" menu. Then, I had to wait 420 seconds more to get asked for drinks because the staff (but the hostess) were having their daily ritual in the kitchen. That turned me down two bars from my dial of satisfaction. I love IHOP because the service and base menu are two of the most important things I consider when I visit the franchise. I liked the "split decision" but now I feel guilty for those extra sausages and extra toasts I ate. I know I could have asked for a"create your breakfast" option but I don't like how the portions are combined. The customer service is amazing. But that's the only great thing about this place. The food taste like it's been warmed up in a microwave. The employees spend more time socializing with each other than working. The food will be warm on the outside but cold on the inside. The coffee taste literally like dirt. Not like organic fruits but like actual dirt. The employee who served us, Emilio, was really nice. But he accidently only gave us four utensils instead of five. Which was a little annoying. But the biggest issue I had with this visit is because there was a hair in my kid's food. A HAIR IN MY KIDS FOOD. the manager did come and ask if there was anything he could do but the visit was already so bad that we just told him it's fine. We lost our appetites and left. Unfortunately the service was not as expected. Food portion are small and priced high. Coffee was served with creamer and sugar but no utensils to stir it in. Food was served along with pancakes but no syrup took over 5 minutes to get syrup and ketchup. Eggs are not cooked as we are accustomed in the U.S. also pancakes are way smaller.
