The drink pressure here is a bit of a turnoff. Weird vibes.
The queens aren't the only ones performing. So are the servers, and their act is “desperate.” I’ve been here a few times. The shows? Fierce. The vibe? Killed by pushy, borderline aggressive staff who seem to think drink sales are a hostage situation.
Last time, after already spending money on drinks, a server seriously told me I needed to be holding one if I wanted to keep watching. I didn’t realize entry to the show required constant liver sacrifice. Had to pay rent in cocktails just to stay seated? Nah. I walked.
Went to other bars in the area where the performers actually entertain and the staff doesn’t act like bottle service goblins. The only thing those places required was that I enjoy myself.
Gosh, if you’re gonna run a cabaret, don’t treat your guests like walking wallets. The performers deserve better. So do the patrons.
I went there wanting to tip the queens, not fund the bars liquor quota. Overall, the queens turn it out, but the servers turned into Grindr profiles with "looking...
Read moreI went there last night and the security asked me if I was going to purchase a bucket of beer. I said no, I was just going to have some drinks so they wouldn’t let me in! Then I noticed they were allowing women in and they didn’t ask them anything! I can’t believe they would filter people out like that! These guys are given too much power and as a result have lost my business forever, which is sad because I have been going to this place since they first opened. It makes me angry at the level of “corriente” these people in the front have expressed- zero customer service- sad.
Read moreSo my husband and I went there to enjoy the drag show. I ordered a beer and a coca light for him and then we found a table. The place was not busy. There were several tables open and the upstairs had about 4 people up there. When I finished my beer I asked one of the servers for another beer and he went to get it and then came back and said they wouldn’t allow him to serve me one beer I would have to buy a bucket of beer which consisted of 10 beers. I told him I couldn’t do that since I wasn’t going to drink 10 beers and I had an early flight. So I declined. I feel that is wrong to try and force someone to order 10 beers. We finished up and left and went to another bar that would allow us to buy one beer at a time I was very disappointed because I really wanted to watch more of the drag show. The venue is great and the severs...
