Mariscos El Caiman — Restaurant in Baja California

**Beware!!! We had a party of 25 and we had bought a package deal for $10,000 pesos. We were having a good time and then when the bill came it was $45,000 pesos!!!

The waiter said we went above and beyond our package deal, but he never told us we had expended our allotted amount for the deal and that we would be charged above and beyond our package deal.

He charged us $250 dollars per bottle of Don Julio tequila of which we ordered 2. These bottles go for about $50 dollars at any licor store.

We didn't have all the money to pay the $45,000 because the terminal wasn't working for everyone. So the waiter said we could transfer the money to his personal account and he would pay the restaurant later.

We obviously were arguing about all of this with the waiter. The manager was there as well and said that he had to go home because he was tired, this was after we said that we needed to call the police to resolve it, because we were being robbed.

In the end we paid what they said we owed but we removed the waiters tip.

This totally ruined our celebration and we hope you never decide to eat here, but if you do please keep the menu on the table, because they didn't want to give us one to account for all of the charges made to us.

I hope the owner of this place reads this review because it is wrong to take advantage of...

Twice visited. First time the experience was great. Second time, not so much. Service was attentive, professional. Food was ok, rather ordinary, VALENTINES DAY special (camarón embarazada, salmón).

This place is very inconsistent in that the food is either on or off. The service is always fine with the general manager usually making his rounds throughout.

The music is obtrusive and usually outside, unless someone at a table wants to pay for a selection. Then, it's heaven help everybody else.

We debated whether we should come here because of the music but, decided to go as the last time it was tolerable and the food was great. Bad choice, someone at a table, obviously trying to impress his date, ordered about 4 selections. It was brutal..

Also, review the charges when paying. They try to slip in a "servicio" charge for other workers not waiters. They need to either raise their prices or drop this charge, it reeks of dishonesty and makes the restaurant look bad.

We were quoted $1600 pesos for a Valentines Dinner for 2 and ended up playing $2400 pesos for dinner, 3 non-alcoholic drinks and their anciliary charges.

This place had so much promise and was very hopefully that this could be a go-to mariscos restaurant but, they are their own...

Quiero compartir la experiencia aunque suene un poco Toxica, la verdad no es la primera vez que la mesera es mujer, y yo no tengo nada en contra de eso, el problema es que la señorita que nos atendió el fin de semana pasado, creo que se llama Maribel o Maricela, sinceramente no sé si tenía poco como mesera, o literalmente estaba tratando de molestar más de lo que yo estaba( aclarando que la molestia que llevaba no era por ella).

Salimos en familia con mis suegros, y por primera vez llegamos ahí, la morrita sin antes preguntarme agarro la servilleta y sin pedir permiso metió la mano hacia mi pierna para ponerla, ya que la había puesto dijo con permiso, me tomo de sorpresa ya que estoy embarazada y estaba en una posición que podía golpear mi panzita, sucesivo se puso a tomar la orden, y a todos los atendió de lejos con excepción de mi esposo, les juro que mi esposo se tenía que inclinar hacia mi porque la chamaca casi se sube arriba de el, mi esposo ni podía voltear a verla porque casi se empeño en leerle la carta completa a mi esposo súper cerca, yo decidí no ordenar por tratar de no comer mariscos durante la etapa, mi esposo decidió preguntar por si había algo que no fuera mariscos pero realmente por el servicio perdí apetito y voltiee la mirada hacia la mesera y le dije "no te preocupes así está bien no voy a ordenar" como si mi comentario no hubiese importado en lo más mínimo voltio la carta y le leyó a mi esposo lo que había, cuando se supone que la que iba a ordenar eso era yo, sin voltear a verme y mirando a mi esposo como a 15 cm le dijo la comida, yo molesta le dije MUCHACHA TE DIJE QUE NO.... ya que mi esposo le dijo así está bien gracias se retiró.

La comida súper tardado, los alimentos sin sabor, cuando ya habían terminado todo, de vuelta la morrita empeñada en estar arriba de mi esposo limpio nuestra mesa nuevamente casi montada en el, sinceramente no sé si era a propósito porque ella notaba mi molestia o realmente no estaba bien entrenada, quiso llevarse todo de un jalón en la bandeja, como temblaban los platos cada que uno se movía hacia gemidos señores GEMIDOS,cuando levanto la bandeja por estar llena de le volteo la salsa encima de mi esposo, súper distraída no sabía ni quién pidió, y aparte le cobro a mis suegros dos órdenes.

Cómo repito no tengo nada encontra de ser atendida por mesera, pero está aparte de distraída, invadiendo espacios de privacidad, a ningún otro miembro de nosotros nos atendió a esa distancia porque la cheque, y a mi cuando al final ya que todos habían terminado me dijo " gusta algo de tomar" como aún metro de mi. HORRIBLE...
