Aza Grill Steakhouse Cancún — Restaurant in Cancún

Absolutely Superb!!

We accidentally stumbled upon this place while walking around - the chicken wings place nearby we initally walked to was no longer there. And I was a bit mixed up & thought this was the restaurant next door/La Troje 😆.. but what a happy accident!!

I'm a big foodie & well versed in international travel/cuisine. Restaurants in Cancun (like most places around the world) are a hit or miss..

We sat inside & they kindly put the air conditioner on for us - it was quite humid out & we had been wandering around outside. We later found out they have wifi for customers so we were able to connect to their internet 👍.

I cautiously ordered a glass of Clerico (similar to their Sangria which is red wine & lemonade.. Clerico has red wine, lemonade, sparkling water, fruit pieces) - soo good, refreshing! We ordered a 2nd glass.

We tried the Melted Cheese with Chistorra Susage & the Ribeye Pepitos (I asked the waiter what meat he recommend on the pepitos & he said the ribeye). The ribeye was tender & delicious (not tough nor chewy). My hubby is a big fan of any melted cheese appetizers - it was great!

Everything was perfect portions for my hubby & I to share, definitely on my list to come back & highly...

My partner and I were shopping in Cancun last night and craved a nice meal. Saw that this place was close and had raving reviews so we decided to try it out. WOW. Is all I can say. We were both equally impressed.

Matias was our server—made sure we were well taken care of (beverages filled, more chips, anything we asked more of, he was prompt in service). The atmosphere was lovely and cozy with great music —not too loud. But the food!! I ordered the Ribeye with mashed potatoes and he ordered the Centre cut with fries. Both were absolutely amazing. Steaks both rich in flavor and juicy. The presentation was a bonus. We both had wine with our meals. Wine glass selection is limited, although bottles are well priced. I’m not used to having chilled red wine—not my favorite but it was still really nice.

This is will be our new favorite go-to-dinner place when we’re in Cancun. I cannot rave about this...

We wanted to try steak somewhere while we were in Cancun and we found this place. I didn’t have very high expectations for steak in Cancun. The owner was exceptionally friendly. We were from the US and he had visited there a few times and so he was happy to practice his English. My wife got a steak and she really enjoyed it. I got tacos and they were very good. We also were given some chips with some hot sauce as an appetizer. The owner found out we were on our honeymoon so he gave us a special little dessert. Best steak we ever had? Probably not. But it was very good. Tacos were a bit small I thought but very tasty. Would recommend this place. If you enjoy talking music (Rolling Stones) or sports (LA Rams or Dodgers), this owner will enjoy visiting with you. Dinner for the two of us was $615 which I didn’t think was...
