Paty's Marimar — Restaurant in Guerrero

First review here. We ordered grilled octopus, mahi-mahi grilled with octopus and nachos. The octopus was barely edible compared to the mahi-mahi which was dull grey and leathery, and probably not mahi-mahi. There were no seasonings on the mahi! Only store bought pre-cut garlic that was cooked to a crunchy crust for flavor.

To top it off, both were served with steamed CUCUMBER?? and carrots, also with no seasonings, could have used salt or butter at the least. Don't know what the cucumber was all about, tasted like nothing, there is a reason that people don't steam cucumber. The best part of the meal was the potato which had a dollop of sour cream, but of course no salt.

Our friends both ordered the nachos, which were good. Ambiance is good, right on the sandy beach of playa ropa, standard prices for a hotel in this area. Service was great, they were super attentive, they just don't know how to cook food. I do not...

Not sure why they don’t have good reviews. Most people are eating next door (yes they have a band with music) but their food are not as good as Patys. We have tried most restaurants on the beach Paty’s actually have the best food with reasonable prices and welcoming services. We kept going back for breakfasts and dinner. They have the best breakfasts and Mexican food. The chip and salsas are so good and very spicy (just hit the spot 💋👌🏻). This restaurant is our happy spot. Not a lot of customers I guess because not a lot of good Google reviews but they are excellent and service are fast especially when you travel with kids. And the best they have a small kids slide and kids bench. That made our toddlers happy so we can enjoy our food a bit longer! Highly recommend this place! Cheap...

My wife and our 2 friends stopped here for a drink and food, place was not busy and it took forever to get our food. We ordered 4 dishes to share, the guacamole was fantastic, the rest not so good. Took awhile for the bill to come even after asking. We gave a tip according to the service and food we received and two of the workers pretty much tossed the tip money back to us and said it was no good and not enough. We have visited Zihuatanejo many times over the years and have never experienced this. OMG! Does this turn us off, absolutely not. We love it here and everyone is so friendly kind and helpful.
