We have been coming to Ruben's for breakfast for years. We have always loved to get the lobster eggs Benedict. They are no longer at the old location, we went to the new location "the strip" now renamed Mr. Rubens. I think they had just opened this location and it showed. Servers did their best, no complaints about service. However, the food was not as good as we had remembered. I had the French toast which was very soggy. I really only ate around the edges because the inside was so soft and mushy. Hubby had the lobster eggs benedict, seems the quality is not as good with the lobster being shredded rather than a chunk like it was before. Perhaps it was the new location with a new cook. We usually went to Ruben's two to three times during our week visit, but only went once this time. Not sure we will be returning. We wish Ruben and his team the best, as we have enjoyed many meals at this restaurant...
Read moreCame here for a late night dinner (9pm) there were only a few people there. We sat up top and the atmosphere was super cute ! The server was very attentive and friendly, even gave some awesome recommendations. The prices were a lot better than the places on the strip. I ordered the pomadoro pasta, it was very good! Of course you can’t compare it to authentic Italian, but I really enjoyed it and ate every bite! My girlfriend ordered the beef burrito and was amazed. She said it was the best burrito she’s ever had! I tried some and it was phenomenal. The sauces on the side had the best flavour too! The drinks were great as well. I also want to point out that the food only took 5-10 mins! Could be because we were the only people there, but it was fast and great service. I’d love to come back here and try more items off their menu. Maybe I’ll have a chicken...
Read moreTHIS PLACE TRIED TO SCAM US. I went here for a couple casual drinks at happy hour. The drinks were okay, and we had 4 thinking it was supposed to be 180 pesos for 2, (a 2 for 1 deal) yet they tried charging us 750 FOR 4 drinks! That’s about 40 dollars usd, and we only had 500 pesos because that’s all we brought. And they would not even explain why until the girl told us that the drinks we ordered weren’t included in the happy hour, which they should have said upfront. I wouldn’t have been upset, except that we asked five times if the drinks were included in the happy hour, and we didn’t know what to do, and the lady just left the check on our table and refused to speak to us so we had to leave the 500 and go. Honestly it was the worst experience I’ve had in such miscommunication. It was really upsetting and I feel like I...
