Cafe Black and White — Restaurant in Jalisco

This place is the worst place to go if you don’t like to carry cash on you. The personnel is extremely rude and the owner doesn't even care because I left my information to have the owner call me back so I could complain about the way I was mistreated but she didn't even bother calling me to apologize at all...now I understand that's how she runs her business and it's her who makes the rules and doesn't care for nothing but making money... Not only that the service was terrible when I went but I'm the kind of person that doesn't like to carry any cash on me when I'm not expecting to need it and THEY ONLY ACCEPT CASH, something I wasn't aware of, if they see new faces they should let us know payments are only accepted in cash; long story short I was humiliated in front of everyone, I was threatened that they would call the police on me if I don't leave my phone with them while I go to the teller machine to get cash. I wasn't going to do that because I already had my phone hijacked once and I'm not going to take any chances of that happening again. I'm the kind of person that likes to look and feel good everyday, it's not like I look like I would have the intention of not paying for my check. They suggested me to make a transfer but I'm sorry for my ignorance, I have no idea of how to do that, my bank cards are not from mexican banks... I'm Hispanic so I got the Hispanic treat and disrespect and that's a shame because we as Hispanics pay the same prices as everyone else and I can believe we could tip even better than the rest of the people that visits the place when we're grateful to someone because tips (at least to me) are like appreciation gifts. One last point: the place would not let me use their Wi-Fi because they don't want people to stay there for long time, they just want people to go in and out so they make more money. If you want to go by yourself just to kill time I highly recommend you to look for some other place because you will be disappointed here. And I'm not mad, people runs their businesses as they wish and if this is good for the owner good for her; I just like to share my personal experiences when they're either too good or too bad to help out, obviously not everyone is going to go through the same experience but their rules are their rules so if you decide to check it out Good luck to you! I don't know who I pissed off, but I guess that because I only habla poquito Espanol and my wife does better, means that the service is conditional. The waiter basically ignored me and didn't really respond, forgot my drink until my wife asked for it for the second time after everything else had been served, brought a slice of cake that was missing parts of the icing and the drink had so much ice I had to dump out some or I could not have poured my drink into the glass. Maybe he was busy or was having a bad day, but it was noticable the difference in service between us and other tables. My partner, his family, our friends and I came to this establishment on the Main Square of Ajijic right after dinner yesterday to close out the night. Black and White is a coffee shop where expats gather to have coffee and desserts enjoying people-watch or converse with others. They have many tables with umbrellas outside. The menu has tons of drinks to choose between hot and cold beverages as well as desserts. Some of us ordered the cappuccino, lemon pie, raspberry cheese cake, Oreo ice cream with chocolate shell and brownie with chocolate syrup.
