The garden part was full of mosquitoes, fine, but the restaurant part was as well, something could have been done to exclude mosquitoes from that area but wasn’t, the waitress (who was very nice) said it was a Jalisco issue but it’s not as we had been able to eat outside elsewhere. The bathroom was not great and also was full of mosquitoes 😱 Because of this, we had to get our food to go.
Every single thing we ordered was terrible, the two juices had chunks of vegetables / fruit in them. The eggplant salad was shockingly bad, it was literally an eggplant milanesa which was cut up and thrown on top of what looked like old salad with no imagination in the cheapest of ingredients (romaine lettuce, tasteless tomatoes, cucumber and shredded carrot if I recall correctly) and no dressing!
The lasagna was literally pasta, huge slices of carrot which had a hard exterior part which thankfully my dog ate, large slices of zucchini and some other vegetable, drowned in tomato sauce, no cheese, just so so bad. The garlic bread was really hard around the edges and not fresh either.
The torta ahogada was just bread, crumbled tofu and avocado as far as I could tell in the bread (with a few extra vegetables on the side to add) and the gravy had a terrible taste. The tacos with hibiscus which came with it had no sauce of their own and the tortilla was hard and chewy.
I am leaving this review so that others do not waste their time and money and also to say that this is not representative of how delicious vegan...
Read moreI have mixed emotions about this place. I’ve been there a number of times and the owner is usually the one greeting everyone that comes in and super attentive with his customers. The food for the most part is really good and I have a lot of favorites. Today however I came in said hello to the person who was eventually going to bring me the menu. He didn’t respond, ok no worries I sat myself down. He eventually came to drop off the menu with out even acknowledging me and could tell he’s having a bad day. But what made me get up and leave was that I clearly saw the guy that brought the menu sniffling/touching his nose. None of the staff in the kitchen was wearing a mask including the server. He did put it on when he asked me what I wanted but I had already lost my appetite. I’m definitely disappointed about my experience today and will probably not return in the future. I just can’t turn a blind eye when it comes...
Read moreExcellent and impressive meal experience! The restaurant is small but offers pleasant outdoor seating. The menu is outstanding with so many options for dishes of all kinds and of course, everything is vegan. The physical menu itself, by the way, was so nice to read and practical with great descriptions of the meals, ingredients, and even pictures. Thanks to so much variety on the menu and everything sounding so good, it was hard to decide what to get but we went with the lentil-oat burger with side of potatoes and the enchiladas and both dishes were great. Tasty, fresh, and perfectly cooked!!! And best of all everything felt so healthy and nutritious, not like some vegan restaurants that use a lot of processed food ingredients and oils. The desserts looked delicious too but we were too full to order any. Hopefully next time. The service was super fast and efficient. We are looking forward to eating here again...
