We went to Emma's today. We are from Jerusalem. When I walked in, I saw plastic bags with Bagels. To my huge surprise, it said on the bag that these were Water Bagels. To those who don't know, a real Bagel is not made in only in an oven, but is first boiled in Water. Some 60 plus years, I stood on a chair and helped my grandmother boil bagels. Today's Bagel houses skip the boiling process and the bagel is just dry bread. Even in Jerusalem. In short, I took a bag home from Emma's and had one for dinner. I went back 60 years and tasted heaven. I had to come to Ajijic to get a great bagel? There is a Jewish joke in that somewhere. Oh, btw, the food we had at Emma's was great also!

Small, excellent deli, great matzoball soup Seating only around 30 diners, Emma's Deli is a tiny sidestreet eatery that serves high quality breakfast and lunches. Service is warm, welcoming, and attentive, food is frankly excellent, and prices are fair for what's on offer. If you've a hankering for a top-end matzoball soup or a superb Reuben, this is the place for you.

I really liked eating at this restaurant. It has a garden like atmosphere in the exterior seating to the rear. The service was very prompt and everytime the wait staff passed they had eyes on each table to ensure that everything was attended to. The food was the best part of this place and lakeside their beef dip is the best and the crispy angle cut roll was perfect.

Outstanding deli! A very cute and clean little restaurant, the pastrami is lean and tender, truly delicious! I had the pastrami rueben. A generous portion of handmade pastrami on fresh caraway rye with Swiss, Russian dressung and good sauerkraut, grilled to perfection! My husband devoured his pastrami sandwich, too, both accompanied by a very good potato salad. (Also the choice of cole slaw.) We each had a slice of the best cheesecake ever, handmade by Alexandra with care. (I had to take mine home for later as I was quite full from.the sandwich.) My husband isn't a big cheesecake fan, but he loves this one! A great food experience with attentive service, we highly recommend Emma's Deli! A cute place run by a sweet young couple and named after their adorable young daughter, they have truly mastered their...

Excellent food in a comfortable ambience, simple, clean and straight lines in decorations, interesting art work, cozy backyard. The quietly attentive waiter served delicious meals, good-tasting coffee, and the oh-so-delicious rye bread. My husband and our granddaughter enjoyed every minute of being there. We loved the soft music, Bee Gees, Neil Sedaka era. This was our first visit only; we will be back soon ... ¿mañana?... Thank you, Emma's Deli, for creating such a...
