The Cocktail Bar, Ajijic — Restaurant in Jalisco

A last minute referral on a late Sunday evening brought us to this rooftop restaurant. It was explained immediately that the kitchen had a huge order on the go and that there would be a delay of about 30 minutes for food. After taking our drink orders, our server, Michael, suggested we order starters and mains right away to get in the queue, which we did. While we waited, he brought us our drinks and tortilla chips to tide us over. Michael was extremely attentive coming by to check on us. The food arrived and the calamari was hot and perfect, the ceviche beautifully presented. The shrimp burger and fish and chips were just delicious. Kudos to the kitchen staff! My husband and I went for Wednesday trivia night. The restaurant is quite quaint. The food was so delicious. I had the nachos which I normally would never order but a saw someone else's and it looked good. The chips were covered completely. My husband has the lemon pepper wings and I had one and omgosh it was delicious. They were so juicy and crispy. I will be ordering them next Wednesday when we're there for trivia night again. Went on Trivia night(Wednesday), so tables were booked. Just had a quick drink. They have some daily specials. So Worth a try. Seems popular . Went back Friday for cheeseburger and Fries half price. 2 Margaritas. It was busy. There is a sushi place on the roof. It's supposed to be really good. Lots of Expats. Ok,we went back for a drink on Tuesday, Nov 21. A young couple was sitting at the bar. They just got married in Ajijic, they're from Oklahoma. Congrats...so sweet to hear their story.
