Los Compadres Ajijic — Restaurant in Jalisco

I don't know what happened to this restaurant! But we will not be back, in fact we got up and walked out! When we got there there were only two other tables being occupied and both of them were eating. We waited and waited and finally the waiter came over and took the order for drinks, the two margaritas came out very quickly my strawberry daiquiri came out about 10 minutes after the margaritas, and then about 10 minutes after that my friends michelada came. My daiquiri the glass was only half filled I questioned the waiter about it and he said that's the size of our drinks "NOW" I said the glass is only half filled and he said sorry. Meanwhile three tables filled up while we were waiting for our order to be taken. The waiter, waited on those other three tables and their food was delivered to them and our order hadn't been taken. So we asked for the check and we left. My friend commented on the service and the waiter said we were busy, they were not busy when we walked in!!! The food is good and your paying for it too, but the service has gotten really bad and their portions have gone down in size. My friends and I will not be going back...

The Monthly LGBT dinner this month was at Los Compadres Ajijic. I arrived early so that I could visit Isabella Downstairs at the cocktail bar and have a few drinks. I joined upstairs about 30 mins after most. I ordered the Calamari which was delicious. The addition of fried Basil leaves really adds so much to the dish. The chili sauce it came with was so good I emptied it all. I got 2 pieces of the unagi sushi which I love Eel and theirs was delicious. I haven't had Lambchops in about 20 yrs and ordered theirs which was a great choice. I did order mine Med well as I don't like alot of color other then Char..lol. they were very tender with a great flavor and I'd HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!! Looking forward to the next dine...

We were seated promptly. However, I do suggest having reservations before you come. This is one of those places where you sit and enjoy your cocktail and dinner for hours with you don’t even know the time has passed. Food was superb. The presentation was very, very beautiful and the variety was incredible. We ate there Friday night and we’re going back. Continued success! PS the drinks are economical and reasonable.
