MarTarraya — Restaurant in Jalisco

This place is another hidden gem off the beaten path! The seafood was so fresh and the beer and fresh juice delicious and refreshing on a hot sunny day in PV. We had the fresh tuna sashimi, the presentation was unlike anything I’ve seen before. The combination of fresh ingredients made for some of the best flavors I’ve ever tasted! We also had the Octopus and Shrimp Ceviche and the Octopus Aguachile. Both were phenomenal in their own unique flavors and textures. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and we will definitely be back before our trip ends.

They also gave me a litre of Cerveza in a Dia de Muertos celebration cup topped with a freshly squeezed lime, salt and Tajin for the walk back! Only in Mexico :-) Muchas...

I really cannot say enough about this most excellent establishment. Eduardo and his staff took care of me like nobody else. I consider myself lucky to have come upon this hidden gem while wandering around this authentic neighbourhood where locals and tourists come for scrumptious ceviche style seafood, the best I have ever had. Everything on the menu looked amazing and the two dishes I ordered came beautifully presented and tasted so delicious I cannot wait to get back there again. The attentiveness to my needs and the friendly hospitality I will not forget anytime soon. Wow! No matter how good the food looks in the pictures it doesn’t compare to how amazing it all tastes. The fish and seafood are so fresh, but even more than that, the sauces are delicious and everything has its own unique flavor. Our waiter kindly asked our level of heat tolerance which ranged from none to fiery hot, and the chef accommodated all.
