I randomly walked past here after a haircut next door, and thought "hmm sushi sounds good and healthier than what I was planning to eat".
I took a look at the menu, prices were reasonable, so I sat down and ordered, sitting at the bar.
Long story short, the sushi is real good, it's on point, and even better, the staff is just genuinely friendly and good people. The owner (Terry) is well-read and was cool talking history with him and chef Oscar.
Later, some neighbors from around the corner came by, and was just really cool eating at a local eatery where you meet people from the neighborhood, people know each other, and it has a community feel. The self-proclaimed chef who seems to be both cooking and waiting tables at the same time exuded an unwelcoming, frenetic and robotic aura throughout. The restaurant will benefit from staffing more reasonably. The sushi roll that I received was already bathing in soy sauce. The soy sauce should usually sparingly consumed with...
