Mutante Restaurante — Restaurant in Jalisco

Pretty good. Huge location with an outdoor covered terrace, indoor seating and upstairs. I arrived Thursday at 10pm for dinner and was rushed to order because supposedly "the kitchen was near closing". I said that Google states kitchen is open until midnight and he responded "thats Fridays and Saturdays". 🙄 I know how to read. It says midnight all week and Fridays and Saturdays until 1 am. So if searching for a late bite, this many not be the place to drop in. Ordered the Mutante Gin drink. Delicious flavor but the gin part of it is nowhere to be found. I would have liked to feel the kick of booze instead of feeling I am drinking a breakfast beverage at 10pm. Delicious nonetheless. For dinner ordered the risotto and mushrooms -flavor was ok. It was red, tomato based. Portion was generous and came with a super fluffy side of bread. I also ordered the Pork Belly buns and they were actually pretty good. We ate here twice while vacationing in Guadalajara. Both experiences were excellent. The bartender makes a fantastic dirty martini. The lamb burger we had the first time we visited was really delicious and different from any other burger we've had. While we were there we witnessed another table's food arrive, pizza. Not just any pizza though. It was a flamed pizza. Basically, the wood fired pizza came out with a dough/crust dome over it. The waiter then uses some sort of flammable alcohol or oil to light the dome on fire. Once it is out the waiter flips it over and puts one of the most delicious arugula salads inside. Ya había visto la fachada varias veces, y no esperaba mucho del restaurante, pero ay caray!! ,Me sorprendió.

Está increíble el lugar, la terraza Tracera muy agradable, la terraza delanteransuer aguasto, el personal extremadamente atento y todos muy bien capacitados en cuanto al menú.

El menú es extenso y variado, en mi opinión cuando es así, no está se mucha calidad los alimentos...pues aquí es la excepción, pedímos muy variado y todo estába muy rico y con firma del lugar, muy original.

Además la gerente (quiero pensar que es la gerente, no estoy seguro,) de nombre Artemisa muy al pendiente del nuestra mesa , y explicando a detalle todo, desde el menú, el servicio, hasta un tour nos dio por el lugar y nos presento al cheff Luis Torres que para mí sorpresa al seguirlo en instagram, es el creador del menú, y lo vi muy joven, pero su cocina es excelente.

En vinos, no vi la carta de vinos y como llegué tarde , mis amigos ya había pedido un Merlot, y estaba bueno pero no es mi preferente en tintos, espero volver y ver su menú de vinos.

Todas las recomendaciones fueron lo que prometían , teníamos ganas de un corte y recomendaron el tomahawk, y que bueno estaba, servido con setas y espárragos al grill y al punto como lo pedimos, sugirieron unos tacos de barbacoa de picaÑa excelentes (serán mi entrada favorita al momento), y flautas de pato buenísima.

De postre la "gerente" Artemisa sugirió un mouse de chocolate, el cual yo quise declinar, ya que no soy muy fan del mouse ,y terminamos pidiéndolo junto con un volcán de dulce de leche, y me ganó el mouse, estaba exquisito y muy bien acompañado por un carajillo sheikiado,.

En verdad es un lugar que vale la mucho ir a conocer, me gustó todo, el lugar no es barato pero les aseguro que vale...
