Our first beach day in PV started here. Our friends grabbed a spot at 10am. By the time my spouse and I joined them at 3pm, the place was jam packed! Definitely not for the claustrophobic type. WHERE TO SIT: It seems that the restaurants on the beach control the chairs fronting their properties, so choose accordingly. There's no charge to sit in the chairs that come with a plethora of umbrellas, but you're expected to order food, and of course drinks, which come naturally to the "rainbow" crowd! Prices aren't bad either. THE BEACH: The beach is bustling with ocean activities. Parasailing guests launch right from the sand. They have that jet propulsion thingy too. The beach has soft, white/brown mixed sand with a sandy ocean floor. Conditions are fairly calm, with a few big waves now and then. Different genres of music are played near the restaurants and sound off toward the beach. Be ready to be constantly approached by vendors selling mats, blankets, henna tattoos, trinkets, shrimp skewers, and even drugs. We did purchase some tasty homemade chips! I like them plain, but my spouse opted for toppings of salt and salsa. Super cheap! MENU: Mexican apps, soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, fajitas. BEVERAGE: Pacifico - My second favorite choice since Modello Negra & Dos XX Amber weren't available. Corona is last on my list! You can get a bucket of ice to keep your beer cold if you order 4 beers at a time. Pina Colada - Mmm yummy! I needed a break from my beer stint, and this was the perfect choice. FOOD: Steak Quesadilla Six triangles of soft whole wheat flour tortillas came stuffed with tender and tasty steak strips, and a mix of cheddar and a cheese I've never heard of, Oaxaca. Very good flavor. It came with a spoonful of delicious homemade guac and 2 tortilla chips. Cheeseburger I wanted the chef recommended "brown mushroom sauce," even pointed it out, but didn't receive. Oh well, the burger was hot, tasty, and the sesame seed bun was super soft. And I was ecstatic that fries were served as it wasn't stated on the menu. Charbroiled Filet Fish of the Day The fish was mahi, and it was sautéed in butter, wine, and shallots. It was very light and flaky with a nice, subtle flavor. The menu-stated "brown rice" was more of a pilaf which I liked. Veggies that came with were carrots, zucchini, and broccoli, all of which were over-cooked. Shrimp Your Way I love my shrimp grilled, and you can get them done in your favorite preparation here. The 5 good-sized shrimp had that natural & charred flavor that I was hoping for, though some might think of it as a bit overdone. The sides were the same rice pilaf and over-cooked veggies as the fish plate. Shrimp & Avocado Salad After seeing a friend eating this, I had to get it as it looked so good. For just $8, I got fresh green leaf lettuce tossed in a balsamic vinegar dressing, topped with diced fresh tomatoes, eight peeled & crunchy shrimp, sliced red onions (which I removed) and crunchy crostini's. Highly recommended! SERVICE: Our server Norberto was awesome! He checked on us often, despite handling numerous other patrons, all while shuffling through the sand. Service on our second day by another guy was average. FACILITIES: Restrooms are available inside the restaurant. No showers are available. OVERALL: Great vibe, fun, good food, pricing and service.

This is where we will be when we are in town now. We have always been to the popular surrounding resorts thinking it’s easier, but they have all became very snobbish and money oriented (much worse than before) over the years. Ritmos might require some communication and negotiation skills to get the best possible chair, but they DO NOT charge chair hiring fee, just have to order stuff with them. Once you have your seats sorted, everything else is just a breeze, no hassle, no stupid rules. Decent food and alcohol. The final bill was half price of sapphire (we were drinking and eating all day), more tips for our server Alex! Note: bring your own towel, they don’t rent/ supply. We just buy one with the local vendors on the beach, still cheaper than going to others.

Chic beach/restaurant on Playa de Los Muertos. Many chairs and umbrellas to sit comfortably, although arrive before 12 for seats closest to the water. Hard working staff serve drinks and food, and there’s a restroom at the rear of the beach. Enjoy the people watching, predominantly men in tiny briefs. The surf is often active for those who enjoy the water, but those who are less comfortable may want to avoid. The only negative is the high number of vendors who roam the chairs, but a friendly “non, gracias” will do the trick. I always look forward to coming every year I’m in town. Recommended!

visited the Green Chairs beach served by Ritmos current week in March, we have been going there weekly for last four weeks and the food (fish tacos and hotcakes have been very good value and taste. UNFORTUNATELY THE MUSIC SYSTEM IS OVER POWERING CONVERSATIONS. WE have tried palapa is three different area close to the services and facilities.l. Today my ears were ringing and when we asked for a volume turn down there was no change. We left an hour earlier than planned and chalked it up to swamped or forgetful waiters or the DJ' inability to tailor the sound system to this music choice considering the speakers did not have sufficient elevation to beam the sound above the rear papapas to still provide acceptable volume in the back rows and comfortable sound into to the middle of the beach.

there are many more people these days with hearing problems derived from motor vehicle accidents or work related hearing loss who can not stand the loud high notes for relaxing background music.

I am sure a brief visit by a sound engineer would raise the elevation of the speakers several meters to reduce focus on the near palaces and still provide adequate sound mid beach. Either that or relocate one or more of the speakers into the area with the canvas umbrellas so that there would be a more even sound distribution throughout thier beach front.

RITMOS has much better facilities and services than the adjacent BLUE Chairsl and has more potential for growth with adjustments of thier sound system. to complement thier excellent food and beverage bussinesss.

I hope that they can address these issues to enhance their client comfort and...

First of all, I believe this is still the best spot on the beach to spend the day, however one day strangers were allowed to join us under our umbrella until another spot could be found. They were smokers (we are not) & they were coughing. Additionally, they were offended when the sun shifted & we needed to move our chairs to avoid the sun & asked them politely to move. Then today, we were ordering many rounds of Patron shots. The 3rd or 4th round was diluted with sugar water. Sure, we drank some of it…and a little more before we were able to bring it to the waiter’s attention. He tasted it and agreed it was not correct, but said since we drank most of it, there was nothing he could do. Management should not be watering down the shots. And, when discovered, should make it right & be honest. We were not given a refund or a replacement. This is not...
