Love this friendly place. We came in frazzled after a stressful flight, which included prolonged turbulence and a medical emergency on board. (Not to mention leaving my wallet in the taxi on the way to our accommodation). We were really too tired to make a selection but Benjamin offered up a small serving of olives, then recommend the spinach salad. He said it was large enough to share, and it was....both large enough and delicious. He also recommended the gnocchi, which was the house special on the night, again saying it was a shareable size offering. I enjoyed mine with a lemonada as I don't imbibe in alcohol, and my wife enjoyed a reasonably-priced cervaza. Our next visit was on a Monday which is when they feature a variety of tapas, artistically put together and displayed. We started sharing the Greek salad before sharing seven of the tapas, which were delicious. We also enjoyed the coconut shrimp, and finished with blueberry cheesecake. Our third visit included summer rolls as an appetizer and the special offering of black pasta with salmon, mwhich we again shared. It was enough for us but if you're really hungry, I'd order one each. My wife enjoyed a generous glass of sangria and I again enjoyed a lemonada, We finished with the cheesecake (made in-house by Diego), and coffees. My wife said that she'll be happy to come back to Puerto Vallarta just to come...

The ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and well-designed, although it can be a bit challenging to secure a table due to its popularity. However, once seated, the attentive and friendly staff make you feel right at home.
The cocktails are expertly crafted and the menu is filled with unique and delicious options. I particularly enjoyed the spinach salad, which was bursting with flavors and textures, as well as the calamari, which was cooked to perfection.
While the restaurant can get busy, making a reservation ahead of time is definitely worth it. The wait time for a table can be quite long, but it's absolutely worth it for the experience that 116...
Read moreWe set up reservations to eat here and this is just 2-days after hurricane Lydia. On our way there the rains came out of nowhere and it was massive sheets of rain, we finally made it by hailing a cab. Pulpita had no power so it was dark, but they made room for us and had some candles ready. The good was great, we had the octopus, chicken and salad. Then they gave us a house drink which was awesome! Upon leaving we could not get a cab, one of them went through the rain soaked and hailed us a cab. I did not have any pesos left due to the storms and banks not working. They did all they could to take care of us. I highly recommend this place and the service was awesome with no power so can't wait to see what it is like...
