I was very excited to enjoy a massage on my vacation and Blue Massage had such high rating I was confident that I had chosen the right place. I was wrong...
I made my appointment online for a 60 minute deep tissue massage and paid 795 pesos (750 + 45 convenience fee). I arrived 5 minutes before my massage and proceeded to wait almost 30 minutes for my massage therapist to arrive. When I arrived there were 4 people were there haggling with the woman upfront for a discounted rate on a massage and with very little effort they were given a 20% discount. I was told that, because of my wait they would add 10 extra minutes to my massage, but it's a bit insulting to pay full price and then watch as someone else is given a discount in front of you.
After waiting, I was finally led to a small room where I undressed and got under the cover on the table. The woman began the massage and it was evident very quickly that she did not know how to give a deep tissue massage. After about 10 minutes I was convinced that she didn't know how to give a regular massage. 20 minutes in and I started wondering if this was the first massage she had ever given. She bounced rapidly from my back to my arms to my neck to my hands to my back and then my head. Stopping occasionally to poke at what I assume she thought were pressure points (spoiler alert, they were not). Then she would scratch/massage the back of my head (like I scalp massage when getting your hair washed at a salon) it wasn't unpleasant but it was totally unnecessary.
She moved to my legs where, again there was no actual massage. She just would rub up and down my leg and then go back to my arms or upper back. Then to my feet where she gently pulled on each toe and kind of massaged my heel. When she finished the second leg I informed her that I was done. She was shocked and I felt bad but I had 30 minutes left and there was nothing more she could do.
I tipped her 100 pesos as I was leaving because I felt bad and didn't want to be insulting. The woman at the front desk was kind and offered me a gift certificate to come back but I refused because I'm not convinced they hire qualified people and didn't want to waste more time finding out.
I might be an outlier because so many of the reviews were are so good, but I've had many massages around the world and this was by far the worst I've ever had.
*Assuming someone in management reads this, I'd offer this advice... Have the therapist turn on some soft music in the room during the massage. Also, the towel my face was pressed into had a mild scent of mildew which did not add to...

Also, my brother came here, got a massage from Melissa that was 10/10. I highly recommend Blue Massage ❤️✨️
Original post: Ladies, be careful. Mujeres, cuidate** I came here yesterday, 7/4/2025 around 4pm for a 90min massage. It was going okay until my therapist, an older man, decided to touch my breasts without my consent. I opened my eyes, surprised he was massaging UNDER THE SHEET, and he said, "I don't touch your nipples" disgusting and so inappropriate. He also would put his hand on my chest, under the sheet while I exhaled. Completely unnecessary. It was clear he ignored my body cues (taking off my eye mask/ putting my hands on my breasts so he wouldn't continue to massage under the sheet). Still, he touched my chest until I said, " no me gusta"
Then, I confronted him about it after the massage, and he tried to blame ME for not saying i specifically didn't want my breasts touched.
I am a licensed massage therapist, so I know it's the therapist's job to understand the power dynamic and to take care of the client. I've also received massages from a variety of cultures, both men and women. Therapists should never: -touch you beneath the sheet -touch your breasts without your consent
It is the therapists job to ASK before touching you in a private area. I do not massage chests unless a client asks me too. Therapists, especially male therapists, should never assume women want their breasts massaged.
I wish I had asked...
Read moreGerardo is magnificent. I went for a deep tissue couples massage for my husband’s birthday. Since he wanted a female therapist, I worked with Gerardo. I left feeling like it was my birthday.
I’m convinced that Gerardo’s hands were touched by God and meant to heal. Since childhood, I’ve experienced pain from tension in my upper middle back, close to my scapula. After over a dozen massages, I’ve never experienced anything like Gerardo’s touch. Without my saying it, his hands found my tension and focused there. His approach was powerful but gentle. Gerardo used his arm and body to apply pressure, stretch my arm and back, and get under my scapula. It was so good that I stopped the massage to tell him “sus manos son mágicos” (your hands are magical), and asked him to focus on my back instead of moving on to my legs or turning me over. The massage was deep but painless. Still, I expected to feel some pain and soreness the next day. I felt nothing but relief.
If I’m back in PVR, I will definitely be back to see Gerardo. And if he ever comes to practice in the NYC area, I will be his first client.
For reference, the physical venue is no frills, but that was alright since we were just looking for good massages in a clean environment. The team was excellent, patient, and...
