Shrimp'n Beer — Restaurant in Jalisco

Atmosphere, great. Food, okay. Service, not great.

After looking around a few restaurants in the area, we felt like trying this place with a lot of good reviews.

We loved the location. Shrimp'n Beer is a fun little spot on a side street where you can enjoy each other's company or watch people walking by. Therefore, five stars for the atmosphere.

The food was okay. We were very surprised at how small our portions were considering the average portions you will find at other seafood places. Our burgers and fries were pretty small. Even McDonald's serve you more french fries.

With that said, we might come back to try their cajun shrimp one day because they did look good. And more plentiful than what we got.

The service was not great. All the staff look like they did not want to be working that night. We had to wave several times to get their attention each time so we could order, get the check, and pay the check.

With that said, we might come back for the cajun shrimp but do not be disappointed if you do not get an attentive, friendly and speedy...

I've ordered a bag of oysters and by accident the shell of the oyster went through my skin. The waiter asked the chef to bring me a tool to open the shell and he replied to me saying "you're stupid" in Spanish. He did not realise that I speak Spanish.

I didn't like the attitude of the owner. He tried to get rid of me and my friend asap trying to hide what happened.

Food, waiter's attitude and concept is pretty good but the manners of the owner and chef was pretty disappointing. I wouldn't recommend this place...

Una experiencia agradable, respecto al lugar, limpio y ventilado, con buena atención a pesar de ser tan solo 4 meseros. El platillo de camarones estilo Cajun, viene en presentación de ¼, ½kg y 1kg en camarón entero con cabeza y cascara, acompañado en la bolsa por un pequeño pedazo de elote amarillo (dulce) y una pequeña papa cambray morada. Se sirve caliente y no hay servicio de cubiertos o platos. Servidos en una bolsa de plástico, con la salsa de la casa. Con tres opciones a escoger, regular, hoy y extra Hot. La mesa está cubierta por un "mantel" de papel que se cambia entre cliente y cliente y te proporcionan un delantal plastico igualmente desechable.

De un sabor mucho muy bueno! Que puede venir acompañado por papas a la francesa o gajo.

Aparte de los camarones, tienen venta de mejillones, hamburguesas y costillas.

Las bebidas son productos de CocaCola, cervezas y aguas frescas.

Si en la organización de tu tiempo, ya sea solo o acompañado, crees que puedes comer y disfrutar de la comida en un lapso de 1hr y 20 minutos, es un excelente lugar. De otra manera tienes que estar preparado para que "te corran" pues no esta permitida la sobremesa y hay gente en espera, por lo que te solicitan pagar y retirarte.
