Estación 72 — Restaurant in Mérida

Really disappointing experience. Me and my partner had breakfast here. The iced coffee was $60 pesos and was just a weak coffee with water. On the menu it says with milk but we didn’t get any. I also had the Acai bowl which was meant to be a granola and yogurt with berries bowl but what turned up was just a tiny bowl of what tasted like baby food which had no consistency and was not nearly filling. This costed $140 pesos which is a ridiculous price for something so bad. My partner got huevos a la mexicana and it was a small portion and disappointing for how much it costed. All in all it was $355 pesos for a poor experience. We ended up going to have breakfast somewhere else after it was that bad. Just to make it worse at the end when paying the bill the waitress asked how much tip I wanted to pay. I clearly stated diez percent (10%) and she charged me 15%! Absolute rip off. Went to Estacion 74 this morning for a late breakfast - when we arrived there was only one other person there so we took a table off to the side and then a few other people arrived and sat down at the 2 other tables closest to us - just a little weird considering the restaurant was empty but I digress. I ordered an arrachera panini and a grande cafe americano and my wife had a cappuccino and a chicken panini. My coffee was served BOILING hot but once it cooled down was pretty good and wifey enjoyed her cappuhino. My husband and I came here for coffee in the morning, I decided on a pastry which was really delicious. My husband had as well, I paid and while he was looking at the menu decided he wanted to have one of their full breakfasts. We had not received our pastries or coffee when he asked if he could change his order. He would have had to pay considerably more, which we were fine with, they refused, that was very disappointing. Both pastries were very good, the coffee was okay. The staff were as a whole very lovely and friendly, but we didn't go back the rest of the week. Still confused as to why say no...
