Might i say it is great to have a Korean restaurant with Soju! The place didn't have air conditioning running so I was eaten by mosquitoes under the table, so i grabbed the electric fan to relieve us from the muggy heat and Miskito raid. Ok let's talk service, it was poor and I called them to service us everytime! Old Dishes sat on the table until I asked them to be removed. The waiter was pouring sweat! They were getting things done but it just seemed hot and uncomfortable for them. The owners kid was coughing really hard with no mask. Not expensive until you got to the import Korean store. Let's talk food! Those saucers of appetiser are the smallest i have ever seen in my Korean restaurant life! Kimchi 2 small mini bites to share with two people. My girlfriend got the spicy seafood ramen and it was super spicy but let's talk the lack of seafood in the bowl. She had 1 muscle, but a lot of shrimp! But she liked it! I had the pork katsu because they didn't have chicken katsu or octopus. The katsu sauce was not katsu it was like a watered down version of barbecue and Worcestershire sauce, lacking all As with most Japanese Worcestershire sauces, it is vegetarian and similar to a brown sauce, with tomatoes, prunes, dates, apples, lemon juice, carrots, onions, and celery among its ingredients. I got some runny BBQ Worcester sauce that ran out after 3 fingers. Drinks were fine. I saw the Korean ice cream and it looks...
Read moreExcellent restaurant, great food and wonderful service! My family and I tried this place on a whim, we thought it might be fun to break away from traditional Mexican food and try something less common. We didn't realize the treat we were in for when we arrived. Instead of ordering a meal for two, we opted to get two different meals and share. We go the Bulgogi and Ton Kat Su, both came with plenty of food, definitely enough for two people to share. I highly recommend the Ton Kat Su, it has such a nice and surprisingly sweet flavor. And the house sauce that comes with it, is amazing! After that we tried the ice cream, we ordered a strawberry and an Oreo. I didn't realize before hand that it mostly consisted of shaved ice, with a little bit of actual ice cream. With that being said, the Oreo "ice cream" was a little bit plain. The shaved ice was pretty much just that, plain shaved ice with chunks of Oreos mixed in and an occasional bite of ice cream. But the strawberry did not disappoint. The shaved ice was strawberry flavored, with lots of real strawberries mixed in. Also worth noting, this restaurant is just minutes from Noche Mexicana, where you can enjoy free live performances and lots of vender booths. We really enjoyed our time here, and will definitely be...
Read moreA bit of a favourite of ours, although if very busy the service is left wanting however this has only happened to us once out of many visits. The food is tasty and plentiful, prices are fair for what you get and if you eat outside the people watching and occasional street performer make for a great night out. The deserts are a must try, leave room or share one.
