Nitido — Restaurant in Mérida

I highly recommend this excellent little 3rd wave coffee shop for single origin or coffee blends and breakfast/brunch. They roast their own coffee two doors down at "Tierre de Café." I ordered a pour-over Mexican Gesha coffee brewed with the Hario V60, which was nuanced and delicate. I also ordered a double shot espresso, for which they were using their single origin "Finca Santa Cruz" and it was delicious (tasted like rich dark chocolate with a subtle note of vanilla), so much so that I bought a bag to take home. Another highlight is the sourdough toast - texture and flavor of this bread are top notch. The salad was made with fresh, quality greens. We stumbled upon this cute cafe, and were really glad we did. The service was really good, the food, amazing. We enjoyed their coffee, my understanding is they roast their own beans. Their coffee mugs are so awesome. I ordered one of the croissant breakfast sandwiches with the side salad, oh my goodness, simply devine. Loved this small but satisfying cafe. The food and service were both fantastic. We both ordered the Croissant Más Nitido and it was perfect. I actually wished they sold the dressing that the side salad came with, it was fantastic. We also took some pastries to go and they all slapped.
