My first time here, everything was very good. I was one of a couple of customers that night.

Tonight the service started odd when they asked if we had reservations when the place is half full and became more empty as the night went on. Waiter faked not understanding me when I asked for the house sake and he brought out one of their high end sakes. I rejected the sake and then he brought out the house sake. Ordering, he kept trying to push sushi with a bunch of stuff rather than the simple nigiri that we wanted.

The nigiri was very good and nice quality!! The ginger had a strong rancid taste and odor. We put it on the other end of thanks to avoid smelling it.

Bottom line: the food is very good. The service … not so much. Explains the...

The sashimi is fresh, maki roll is nice, the rice is not made as original it should be, but i can’t complain for having sushi in Mexico. I’m happy with my food experience. And recommend everyone to come.

One sad thing that the waiter didn’t agree when I tip by cash & less than 10%. I spend more money for my meal but it doesn’t mean I have to spend equivalent amount for the tip. I guess to become a fancy restaurant it has to adapt such an American strange tip rule. It’s a sensitive topic based on different references and point of view about this. I stand for what I value and feel right to me. I still tip but not on a forceful...

I wish I could give this more as the food was fine. However the service was dreadful. Too many waiters doing nothing and on their mobiles. Didnt want to come over to us. Music turned up really and I mean really loud. We nearly left as a result. Table next to us wasnt cleaned. We had to ask for ginger and wasabi to be served. They pretended not to understand us. Soy sauce on our table not filled up we had to get it ourselves from another table. We ordered salmon sushi but the waiter said we didnt. In the end left having had endamame beans and cucumber and avacacado rolls. Food fine but honestly...

The entire package is filling such a big void in Merida. Atmosphere vibes trendy sophistication, staffers are in the background except when you need them, and the dishes are presented simple with great flavors and textures. The spicy tuna is good but the Kushiages Camarón is real special. Served with a dusting of dry fish skin the hot dish comes alive when served. The vege tempura is perfect. Good ration of vegetables to cornstarch breading done right. Took away a food star Aug 2025. Dumplings were served cold, then reheated and returned to the table very over cooked.
