Fellooow humaaans!!!! Finally a 5 star review! Wooowooooo!

Now this place deserves the rating, it is absolutely outstanding in every way! The food , the service the atmosphere the bathrooms🤣 like it’s all wondeful! Let’s start with the food!

The food is hellah traditional Mayan Mexican deliciousness! If you hate spicy foods this place will resonate with you, most of their foods aren’t spicy, just full of flavor and many ingredients which combined to make a explosion in your palate. We got the mixed plate which came with 4 different types of traditional foods. It was basically like different kinds of moles along with a cheesy plantain dish that was awesome! Scoop all that good stuff with one of the house made tortillas & your ready for flavor town!😋 they also give complimentary refriedbeans with pepitas (crushed pumpkin seeds) which is a tastey gesture.

I know what u thinking, “what’s a Chaya?” A Chaya is a cousin of the spinach family, a super healthy leafy green that can be made into anything from dishes to drinks, as you can see the dark green beverages we’re holding is the traditional “chaya water” which is super yummy & refreshing! I recommend it with one of their local made IPA beers called “ Patitos” (little ducks)

Now there will more than likely be a line of you come for dinner as it gets packed due to its deliciousness, so be prepared to wait an hour, WELL WORTH DA WAIT!🤙🏼

In conclusion come here if you want super authentic delicious homemade meals with cool drinks , nice atmosphere & friendly staff. You’ll impress all, with the flavor & atmosphere !

Honestly, I expected much many things more for a very popular restaurant in the whole region, not just in the city. They missed a good sauce, nothing screams mexican restaurant with traditional food that the tasty hand made sauce. But here they prefered to go simple with it.

Unfortunately, they went the opposite with the food. The food was full of non sense spices, the food was screaming "I need someone with a clear tongue to taste me before serving me".

I did not finish the plate.

This is just a place that has a trendy name, living the current successful present. It does not look well designed in the interiors, very boring place. They may have good themes there to decorate, but still to much to wish on my perspective.

They must have in mind, not just them but almost all the restaurants in the town, that they are in Mexico, even when they may receive mostly tourists from abroad, they should treat mexicans as well as them.

I ordered the black think whose name i don't remember cause my organism preferred to forget about it. It has meat turkey on it. Well, good look trying to eat such bad cooked hard meat.

Trendy place...

The BEST authentic Mayan restaurant and Yucatecan food in Merida Yucatán Mexico! The handmade tortillas are the best in the city and are a wonderful cultural experience in the restaurant. You actually get to see and even experience making handmade tortillas! The restaurant is upscale and has a great feel of elegance! The whole experience is amazing and something that you will never forget! It’s also a casual restaurant and you feel at home in any attire. The food is authentic Yucatán and Mayan cuisine that’s the best I ever had in Mexico! The staff are unbelievable and the service is amazing! They’re attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable of everything on the menu. This is also a great place for a date, special occasions, and for family gatherings. It’s also perfect for enjoying an excellent meal alone in a great atmosphere. The food is very unique and I loved the sampler dinner dishes. The portions are HUGE and you get some much delicious meat. The conchita is so moist and delicious! It’s the best that I ever had and the tacos, tostadas, sandwich, and pachucas are overflowing with succulent meat! The meats are so moist, soft, and delicious that you can’t get enough. The experience of new flavors on your palette makes your mind swirl with sheer pleasure! The wine, drinks, and beer selection is great. But, the authentic flavored water drinks are the best thing that accompany the traditional Mayan and Yucatecan cuisine. Then the tortillas and the homemade salsa are PERFECT! Just the experience of seeing the tortillas handmade is amazing. But, eating them hot off the grill is something that you must experience! I love this place and recommend it as a must place to eat in Merida...

Food was tasty but it was warm and cold in places, not hot. I had ordered the only seafood dish on the menu. A mixture of clams, octopus, prawns and fish of fish. I asked for more rice and mentioned that the food wasn't hot. The rice came in steaming hot and the cooks/chefs were watching too see my reaction from the kitchen. Quite uncomfortable. At one point, the servers were all hanging around the food collection point outside the kitchen, talking loud and laughing like schoolboys. Very unprofessional. I had to leave some of the fish as it tasted funny. I was trying to get my servers attention for quite a while after I'd finished my meal, he was avoiding eye contact as he walked past me and stood standing facing my direction but was looking everywhere but at me. I eventually managed to get the attention of another server for the bill. While I was waiting for my change, I'd overheard another server state that I was the one that said that the food wasn't hot. At that point, I decided that I wasn't leaving a tip. When I was getting up to leave, that same server approached me to advise me that tips are not included. I advised him that I know that and I walked out. What a cheek! I'd already paid for a meal that wasn't hot and the service up until the point that I'd mentioned that the food wasn't hot, was actually great but then it went downhill.
