If you are looking for a classic long standing place, savor authentic homestyle regional flavors and have a solid cup of fresh roasted coffee on site, look no further. Please be kind and generous to the staff as they are so professional and take lots of pride in their art. I recommend the molletes and chilaquiles! Beautiful textures and flavors. Also try the espresso. They were playing jazz music in the background too. Very much a nostalgic, Hemingway-esque vibe. I see some posts below upset they didn’t have solid wifi. Sorry, maybe Starbucks is a better place for you. This is a place to relax and put your phone/laptop away.

I'm not quite sure how this happened, but it was excellent the first time and mediocre the second time. The first time we got Claudia as our waitress and I showed her pictures of what we wanted, and everything was almost perfect! My long chorizo crepe thing was perfect, and the cake we ordered was also delicious, though we could have gone without the corn on top. The second time, I ordered the Beef Torta and it was absolutely disgusting! The beef was done chicken-fried style and completely inedible! Also, I don't know what was wrong with our waiter, but he kept forgetting we already ordered drinks and coffee, then he walked by our table and literally moved our utensils a couple centimeters for no reason. If you don't know Spanish, you have no idea what you're ordering. Google translate app is completely useless, if you don't have WiFi or data roaming, so they really need to make the menu available in English or at the very least put pictures of the food. I also strongly recommend paying with cash at the table, because if you pay with card at the register, they'll manipulate you into leaving them a large tip.

I was deeply disappointed with this place. It appears to be a good restaurant but to me it seems like an illusion or a show because the food I had did not match the ambiance of the restaurant. It was dry and most likely reheated. I wouldn't be surprised if it was food from the day before. Even something simple as tortillas specially here in Mexico this restaurant couldn't get right. What Mexican restaurant serves microwave tortillas!!! 😨 I also couldn't believe that when I asked for milk for my coffee they offer powder milk!! 😱 Don't waste your meney here. Please eat somewhere else.

Younger staff (waiter) didn't seem to know what customer service is. This place was recomended by a local because I was in need of a calm and not-so-crowded place for an internet videocall from work. Specially asked for a stable internet connection and the young waiter said it was working. After I ordered, I found out internet was down and they couldn't do anything about it. Coffees and bread are very decent; it is a good option if you are with company and if service is not your priority when coming.

I really enjoyed eating here at Cafe La Habana! It has all the comfort foods and coffee drinks you'd like to choose with both a Mexican and Cuban flair! The restaurant is a little dim inside but that's because there's so much natural light coming in through the windows. You can also purchase fresh ground coffee and watch the staff grind the coffee beans in front of you. It's conveniently located about two to three blocks up from Plaza Grande. The wait staff were very nice, too!

Alta calidad
