SPOILED AND SMELLY CHICKEN (POLLO ENTERO) My recent visit to Arrachera House in Plaza Antara Polanco left me with an overwhelmingly negative impression. I felt it necessary to share my experience. Our patience was tested from the moment we placed our order. It took a frustrating 30 minutes for our food to be ready, with no communication from the staff until our name was called. We understand that grilling chicken may take some time, but this was excessive.
Unappetizing Odor: Upon receiving our food, I immediately detected an unpleasant, spoiled smell emanating from the chicken. To investigate further, I checked each piece, only to find they emitted a foul odor. Additionally, the chicken skin appeared to have a suspicious greenish or grayish tint.
Burned, Not Grilled: To make matters worse, the chicken looked more burned than grilled, raising concerns about whether the kitchen was trying to hide the questionable color of the skin. We alerted a staff member, hoping to have the issue resolved. While they agreed to replace our order, it was alarming that the new batch was delivered within just 20 minutes. This suggests that they merely swapped some pieces and mixed them with the previous ones, contributing to the same off-putting odor. Furthermore, we noticed that one of the chicken thighs had been torn, which indicated a lack of care in food handling. Our Safety Matters: Given the disregard for the quality and safety of the food, we made the difficult decision to leave our entire order behind, fearing the potential health risks. It is evident that the staff at this establishment did not prioritize customer well-being.
