Barrón is an unassuming spot offering an elevated menu and outstanding service. Super chill and nice neighborhood cafe with good coffee and food - totally worth a visit. The chefs take a lot do pride in making food that’s representative but with a modern presentation and twist in an elevated setting. The coffee for example is a combination of beans from Oaxaca and Chiapas (50-50) and the flavor is earthy and chocolaty. I had the flat white which went perfectly with the Cardamon pan to close out a breakfast meal with eggs and mole which was also delicious. Service was attentive and accommodating. Visiting CDMX for a long weekend and happened upon this amazing restaurant for lunch. Took a chance, and glad we did! The atmosphere is so lovely, the servers very friendly and attentive, and...the FOOD! Wow!! Prepared from scratch with the freshest and best ingredients. I had the smoked salmon toast and my husband had the crispy fish and cucumber and greens salad. As we ate, we talked about when we could return again to this restaurant before leaving....
