Buna is incredible — the vibe here is incredible. It’s located in a beautifully repurposed old factory, surrounded by other creative studios and craft shops, giving the whole area a unique urban-meets-artisan feel.

The coffee itself is outstanding, but what truly sets Buna apart is their pour-over experience (filtrado). Ask for one, and they’ll guide you to a tent-like room called El Cafetal, where the magic happens. I had the Geisha, and it was brewed to perfection — delicate, aromatic, and showcasing all the distinct notes this variety is known for.

The barista was incredibly friendly, even shared the brew recipe with me, and I ended up buying a bag of the same beans to take home.

worst experience i had in terms of being ripped off; daytime robbery. the latte was 65 pesos and when asked what milk, i said normal milk. i was charged 15 pesos more because supposedly the default latte comes with lactose free milk. so extra 15 for normal milk. also i asked for latte to be extra hot (my caliente). they handed me a lukewarm cup.

and the other order, a dirty chai for 110! because they charged a whole cup of oatmilk for 30; specialty milk was listed as 15. but because they put a whole cup, it is 2x15! haven't ever seen such way of measuring extra milk. btw chai is not on the menu. and you get no itemized bill.

My favorite coffee shop to work at in the area. The usual good stuff is all good: great coffee, nice atmosphere, and perfect service, but the reason I love this place is because it's away from the hustle and bustle of streetside coffee shops in Roma, which surely have a time and place. Buna always plays mellow music, there's a machine of some sort in the back that makes for constant white noise (which is a plus for me, perhaps not for anti-noise pollutants. I find it calming, and the quiet conversations plus the music of coffee-brewing make for real-life ASMR. Plus, they have aaactual comfy chairs.
