Hotel is located in what seems like a central area not too far from local fitness park, hospital, eateries, petrol station, and local shops like 7 Eleven, which is in close walking distance to the hotel. All still quite quiet.||||Bar, lounge, and restaurant are all easy access from reception which is very stylish, artworks reminded me of 1980s & 90s pop icon era.||||Room was spacious with pinch pleat curtains, block out blinds, twin beds, interesting art, and an on suite shower.||||Though hotel is located in walking distance from most things. Taxis's were also readily available outside of Uber services, bus stops are close to hotel. ||||My Health Review: Due to current state of my own health, recent injury, distressing work struggles as a result wasn't well prior to trip, could not even prep properly for the trip my brain just wasn't having it- long term struggles with weight, walking; a pursuit I love, just was really challenging on this trip. ||||I also manage respiratory conditions as well found the atmosphere/air challenging, felt quite tight/close and found I took asthma/copd inhalers more regularly than I normally would.||||Though warned about the possible side effects of altitude we did not know what to expect or how I would respond until I got to Mexico. ||||Thankfully, symptom's did cool down eventually, I suspect jet lag may have had an effect also a change in diet. Luckily, after it was clear I was going to struggle even when walking what would normally be considered a short distance. We got cabs everywhere, almost at a drop of the hat. Thankfully. I am still so grateful, I cannot tell you because I was in so much pain. Though, what exercise I did get did me the world of good!||||Maybe worth checking if altitude could affect any health conditions just a tip, worth a mention if it has not already come up as a possible consideration. It doesn't have to deter a trip but may mean a trip may need to be well advised, and planned well enough regarding meds, breaks, and accessibility to cabs etc||||The heat did play apart but was only a minor discomfort I carried a hand held electric fan.||||There is a really lovely small gym area on the first floor of the hotel where you can sit down ride, run, or use walking apparatus which was really nice to have close by.||||Our room was just around the corner from the lift which we could hear but that did not lessen the quality of our stay, at all.||||||The area around Hotel Marbella seemed to me to be very quiet at night, and quietly bustling by day. ||||||Hotel Marbella has a really great standard of luxury, style, and cleanliness|| ||||||Really, lovely place to stay generally felt very cool, and very calm place to be||||||Thank You!||||||||Natural Flowism||||||||||A Freedom of...

We stayed 4 nights in a junior suite and the rooms could use upgrades - toilet lid falls on your back when you use it, shower water leaks out into the other part of the bathroom causing the floor to be excessively wet, and the wash cloths they give are really hand towels (they said they didn't have any smaller standard sized wash cloths). Belinda at the front desk is very unpleasant, she muttered in Spanish, griped and made faces/attitude facial expressions with the bellman when I asked questions during my check in - so unprofessional! She kept that same energy the 2nd time I saw her, the 3rd time she had toned down, however as a first time guest - who doesn't know Spanish but can pick up on body language, tone and clearly see exasperated facial expressions - do better. She was smiling with the person behind me, so no, do better!!
The A/C worked amazingly, the bell hops and other sensible front desk staff made up for what her first impression did, and the cleaning staff always did an amazing job on our room. Whenever we needed soap or more towels, the front desk staff (not Belinda) always assisted us right away and we had the items in a timely manner. Shout out to the bellmen who shared valuable information with us about Banco Azteca when we really really really needed to convert US dollars into pesos on a Saturday, thank you!!! The restaurant staff was nice and accomodating when we ate there within one hour of closing on our final night. The location is amazing and that is the best feature going for this hotel and a 24 hour front desk is amazing, especially when flights land late.
Overall, 3 stars means 3 stars. With some upgrades and repairs, and training for some front desk staff, Hotel Marbella...

If you need to test for COVID to travel outside of Mexico the pharmacy across the street (Farmacias del Ahorro) does testing, you can go there to schedule an appointment or schedule one on-line (just do it as soon as you figure out when you fly, I was able to book appointments the day before I wanted to test, but I noticed there seemed to be an uptick in bookings about midweek, following a holiday).
If you're using public transportation there is a metrobus stop just in front of the hotel and if you go again across the street there's a metro stop (both Hospital General).
There's a Scotiabank across the street as well for people whose banks have an agreement with them (like BoA).
There are also convenience shops on basically all three corners around the hotel if you need water or snacks. Walking to the restaurant clusters of Roma Norte takes
