The reviews for this hotel are so misleading. We booked because of all the good reviews, only to find out that the hotel has paid people to write fake positive reviews. This hotel is extremely dirty. If you have any standards for hygiene or cleanliness, do not stay here. There is sooo much dust EVERYWHERE. The floors are grimey. The worst part was that when we checked in our first night, the bed sheets had someone else’s body hair all over!!! NO ONE SHOULD BE OK WITH SLEEPING IN BED SHEETS THAT ARE COVERED IN SOMEONE ELSE’S BODY HAIR!! When I called to request new sheets, the bell boy came and gave us attitude by rolling his eyes and treating us as if we were burdening him. When given new sheets, we then shook them and saw so much dust particles flying off. I was extremely uncomfortable and itchy. It was truly horrific. Along with sanitation issues, we were not able to sleep most nights because of so much noise. The walls are paper thin, you can hear everything even from other floors of the hotel (babies crying, cleaning crew, other couples in bed). The first couple of nights we stayed we couldn’t sleep til almost 4am due to the next door neighbors blasting music and the girl moaning while having sex. We were extremely uncomfortable and could not sleep. We notified front desk and they said this room had frequent complaints……. If you do not care for cleanliness or getting any sleep, this is the place for you. If you have any standards at all, please do your research and book elsewhere. The only positive things I can say about this place are the location and the few people who work the front desk reception are nice. The one bell boy (balding man) was rude. I am attaching pictures of the body hair I found on the sheets from the day we checked in to our hotel. Another thing I would like to mention is that I went during the last week of December, and it was cold. There is no way of turning the heat on (no heater) so we had to request extra (dirty) blankets to keep warm at night. One of the nights when we requested blankets, they said that they had no more, as everyone else had already taken all the blankets.

Wow!! I trully wish Google would allow a higher rating for this hotel. What it may lack in updates it really makes up for it in customer service. From the moment we booked they were always very quick to respond to our questions. This was our family's first visit to Mexico City and due to the service we received at Stanza Hotel, this will be our go to hotel for years to come. The hotel rooms were very clean, the beds were very comfortable and the AC worked perfectly. There are safe deposit boxes in the rooms which are very convenient. They also conveniently offer laundry services. There is a restaurant in the first floor which conveniently offers late night room service. The hotel is located in a nice, safe and walkable neighborhood where you will find everything from bars, restaurants, convenience stores and pharmacies. There is a park located across the street which is always bustling with people enjoying different sport activities at night. From front desk clerks to housekeepers we received honest and superior customer service. The Bell boys are a great resource for directions and getting the best taxi fares for outings and tours. Thank you Alejandro for always going above and beyond to give us directions and get us taxis. Our belongings were always safe and our room was always meticulously clean upon our return in the evening. I can not believe we got much for such a low price, I look forward to going back as much as I can and am happy I found our home away from home when in Mexico City.

Internet does not work. Keeps going in and out. It's not only slow but it keeps disconnecting every other minute. Feels like someone is monitoring the connection and disconnecting it just for fun because what router/modem is capable of disconnecting every minute? If you move your laptop a centimeter, it gets disconnect or loses its strength. Looks like someone else left a review 4 weeks ago and 9 months ago with the same wifi problem. So, they haven't fixed it for almost a year. I asked them about the wifi and they said they are having someone fix it. But CLEARLY, someone hasn't come to fix it for ALMOST A YEAR!!! If they are going to be lying to me saying that they are going to fix it, what else are they hiding? Walls are very thin. I can hear people turning their door knobs even. I'm afraid to lean against the wall because it might fall over. That's how thin the wall is. Feel like I'm in a cubicle but even then, those are probably soundproofed than these walls.

I was going to give this hotel a good review due to its cleanliness, great price and great location. However, when i consulted with the concierge as to the proper time to leave before our domestic flight, i was told that an hour and a half before would be ok. We took a safety margin and left two hours before our flight, but at the airport we were informed that the flight is already closed and we cannot check in less than two hours before. So, as a result of the concierge's unprofessional conduct we had to pay almost 2000 pesos to change flights, and we have been stuck at the airport for seven hours and counting. This could have easily been avoided and while we should have looked at the check-in rules ourselves, the hotel has failed miserably at customer service, and the fact that we were given false information by a professional who is supposed to have the necessary knowledge for tourists in his country has put a real dent on this vacation. A shame. Other troublesome events included our room keys not working several times. Also, we were gravely misinformed about payment options for a day trip that bc was booked through the hotel. By any other aspect it is a decent hotel with clean rooms and a great location, but it's hard not to feel cheated after receiving such poor customer service. We are not big fans of customer service and can manage most tourist needs on our own. However, this experience has taught us to put customer service above all else, as we have been severely...
