The food ingredients are, generally speaking, of good quality but the chaotic organization of the place spoils everything. We arrived at 1 PM, there were already nine tables occupied, including a couple of big parties. After a 15 minutes wait, a waiter finally came and took our order that included two entries and two mains. Only then the waiter told us the kitchen would open in 15 or 20 min, and only then we realized none of the other tables had been served. After a long wait, entries and mains arrived together, we could see them on a side tray getting cold in the company of other orders, while disorientated waiters moved in all directions trying to sort out what was for who and for which table. So all arrived together and lukewarm, at best. And the meat one of us ordered rare was carbonized on one side, we complained and at least they did not charge us for that one. In short: this place urgently needs a good manager. Check the many other one-star reviews comments about the poor service.

We recently dined at this restaurant, my overall experience was a bit mixed. The atmosphere was good, with a great vibe that made it easy to relax and enjoy the evening. However, the service left a lot to be desired. Our waiter seemed overwhelmed and unfortunately forgot to bring us our main course, which resulted in an unexpected wait of over an hour. By the time our food arrived, my tuna, which was supposed to be served rare, was overcooked. It had clearly been sitting in the heat area for too long, and the texture was disappointing. It’s a shame because the setting and initial impression were so positive, but the slow service and food quality issues really took away from what could have been a fantastic meal. I hope this was just an off night, as the potential for a great dining experience is definitely there.

Upon entering Carajillo, you immediately notice the ambiance, best described as an upscale modern jungle. The included chips (or chip!) are pretty tasty and come as a plate-sized nacho that you break apart and dip as you like. The eponymous carajillo is probably the best one I’ve ever had, and I often drink them. It was frothy with a perfect ratio of alcohol and coffee. We ordered the Camarones Kataifi and the Emoladas de Pollo. The Camarones was very fresh and had a unique earthy taste that was very nice but unexpected. The Emoladas came completely covered in excellent banana mole. It's a shame the didn't include tortillas so we could clean the plate!

Everything about the place is loud in a bad way. The music is so loud that we had to yell just to talk to someone sitting right next to me. The lighting and music are more fit for club rather than the restaurant they try to be. The staff seems disorganized and inexperienced. I saw staff run into each other way too many times and we almost received, what seemed like a very expensive, wrong order and the tostada they brought us was cold. They had a really nice big bar but all the drinks were made in little drink carts spread throughout the restaurant. Even then, it took forever for them to make our drinks and was disappointed after such a long wait. It seemed like they were trying to do too much with the drinks. I had to remove a good amount of the toppings just so I could take a sip. They had a big pizza oven so we decided to get the pizza. The crust didn't have enough salt, the toppings were lacking any flavor and the only thing we could taste was the dough and cheese. On our neighboring table, I saw that they bring a cart with steak that they cut in front of you and it felt very unnecessary and again, loud. They set the already cooked steak on fire while a guy creates smoke around in with liquid nitrogen while he points a strobe light on the smoke. I will pass the seizure with my steak, thank you. On to the table next to us, we saw someone order a burger, which is fine, until a server poured some liquid cheese over the whole burger and gave the customer some gloves to eat their cheese covered burger. Along with the gloves, they should really serve the burger with a small mirror so people can actually see what they were eating. Carajillo googled images for what a trendy restaurant should look like, took those images and increased the intensity by a 1000%. They should've instead googled for what a good restaurant is supposed to be. For a restaurant, it is really hard to stand out in a food capital like Mexico City, but this place really stood out as the worst experience I had in Mexico City, in terms of service, food and ambiance. I'm shocked by the amount of good reviews this place has. I'm not sure if I should be more disappointed with the people leaving the good reviews or my whole experience. Final verdict, Carajillo is a restaurant that tries to be trendy so bad that it forgets to be a good restaurant. Every aspect of the experience, they try to shoot for the "WOW factor" instead of just providing a good service and good food. The staff seem untrained, the food is mediocre and the place just screams "Rich person's...

We had mixed feelings about our visit. The appetizers and drinks were good (7/10), and the ambiance was decent (7/10), but the service left much to be desired (3/10). From the start, we asked to move tables because it was cold, but the staff refused. Instead, they said the table was reserved, even though no one ever came. While ordering appetizers, the server kept pressuring us to order our mains, even after we clearly stated we wanted to start with just appetizers. Additionally, when we requested bottled water, we initially ordered five, but upon realizing they were actual bottles, we asked to adjust it to three before they were opened. The server said "No you already ordered it." Throughout our meal, there were around 10 servers constantly hovering over our table, seemingly eager to clear our plates before we were finished. Honestly, it just made use feel rushed and uncomfortable. Due to how we were feeling about the rude and rushed service, we ultimately decided to leave early without ordering mains, so we can’t comment on those. Overall, while the apps and drinks were enjoyable, the service was pushy and unaccommodating, making the experience...
