Being originally from Melbourne, it's really hard to find places that have their coffee game on lockdown to a Melbourne level. For DF standards, this place was solid with possibly the best flat white I could find in Mexico City, and was consistent between baristas in my experience. I had the granola bowl a couple times and the Saturday version was definitely better than the Monday version. Still delicious, but like someone already mentioned, the premium prices - I feel if you pay that much, they can easily afford to take that extra bit of care to measure out each plate so it has as much punch as the last, right down to the presentation. Prices are tourist influenced. I can only speak of the granola and flat white but if you want something closer to a Melbourne cafe experience, you pay for it and in Roma Norte, the prices are similar to what I'm used to back in oz. I'd still recommend it, it's a nice place and one of the only places on the hipódromo that gets decent morning sunlight. They could up the consistency on the food a little, but good service and one of the better options for a cafe breakfast/brunch...
Read moreBad cappuccino (it was a latte= 3/4 milk + a shot of espresso) that I didn’t drink but had to pay for it (I didn’t at the end because it was not ok to pay for it and also because the boss left) but you can see below the professionalism of the boss, I mean wasnt it too hard to just give me another real cappuccino (a shot of espresso + a FOAMY milk 1/3 milk 2/3 foam) which cost you less than 30pesos and have a semi happy client (because their food is still bad and the boss not professional) but at least not a bad review. Bad sandwich, too much bread and it’s dry, hair in the sandwich, bad French toast. Ridiculous, I spend time writing reviews, when I go out and pay for food and drinks is not for...
Read moreI ordered a latte, cold, and received my drink hot. When I asked them to change it, they poured the drink into a cup of very little ice…. Now I think we all, no matter the country we’re from, took a science class at some point in our lives. So what happens when you pour a hot liquid into ice? It melts, not only does it melt it waters down the liquid. They then brought me an extra cup of ice without my request, I used it, and then when I went to pay they had the nerve to charge me for the ice. So not only did they make a mistake, they charged me for their mistake. How insulting of a customer experience for a...
