Dishonest waiting staff. Save yourself time and money. Go to jamil opposite.
I went to Milo's last night. When i asked for tequila i was offered $300 a shot (usd15) tequila, i asked whether there was more economical tequila on the menu and the waiter lied about the pricing of the cheaper tequila, saying the cheapest was $220 (it was actually 150). Luckily i had the menu to hand and caught him out. It was a quick dinner, just mains. The waiter interrupted our conversation by trying to upsell us starters despite us declining three times. When we actually needed service he disappeared so when we asked for utensils such as a spoon and salt and pepper, i had to go up to the bar where the rest of the staff were chilling and ask the manager (in their defense, the manager was quick to respond and solved the problem immediately). When the bill came, against my better judgment I stated 10% service. When my friend went to pay we realised that he had added 15% and pretended for it to be an honest mistake, despite him confirming verbally that the amount added was 10%. The food was ok but they need to work on...
Read moreWhile I very much enjoyed everything I ate at Milo's, this is more of a review of their kindness. On the final night of our trip, my wife accidentally left her phone in an Uber. Long story short, our Spanish is not what we'd like it to be, and we asked the wait staff and manager of Milo's for help. They went above and beyond helping us get in touch with the person who found the phone and setting up a time to meet with her the following morning. So while the food is great, the people are even more wonderful, and that kindness is worth every bit...
Read moreI want to give them the benefit of the doubt that it was just an off day when I visited but the experience and service was terrible. Our waitress was great, it’s just that she was the only waitress serving the entire restaurant and every single table was taken. The manager I’m assuming (guy in a suit jacket) started to help out. I asked for three different dishes - eggs Benedict, they were out. Croque madam, they were out. Croque monseuir, they were out. We should’ve paid for our mid coffees and left at this point but the manager talked us into getting the mollete’s and it was not good. $500 pesos later we were pretty disappointed with my birthday brunch. 1 star because they have a great ambience no matter how terrible...
