Pretty good restaurant. In the area, it is my second favorite seafood restaurant behind La Pescaderia. I liked the blowfish tacos and how creative they are. Update: i ordered the pulpo a las brasas and it was very well seasoned, crispy and delicious; however, service was much slower and some of my food was a bit cold (tortilla from taco nearly as stiff as a tostado). Not sure what was happening this Wednesday afternoon but yeah... partially disappointed for the high costs of the dishes.

Sinaloa-style marisquería place that gained fame due to it’s polemic name. The ambience is intense, very loud, corridos music blasting the whole time. I recommend ordering family style so you can try everything. The shrimp aguachile, marlin burritos with cheese and octopus chicharron tacos are a must. Both desserts are delicious - especially the brownie. Prices are mid-high range. Honestly very hyped up, I was not impressed by the food but it was good.

I enjoyed my Saturday lunch in Don vergas, situated in Reforma, specifically in Rio Lerma, this street has been opening tons of restaurants lately. I really enjoyed it, but do think it was kind of expensive in comparison to other seafood restaurants. I ordered: Agua chile de callo de hacha 🤌🏽 favorite dish of my lunch. Tostada de atún, it was really huge and tasty. Taco de Botete ( es pez globo según recuerdo) - not my favorite but was good. 6/10

A packed restaurant filled with locals means the food must be good....right? Wrong! We were going elsewhere but saw a seat available so figured to try it out. I got the mixed seafood platter and when it arrived thought it was a April 1st prank...nasty canned octopus, cooked and frozen crab claws...rubbery shrimp...and scallops that tasted like they came from Shenzhen bay (metallic)...this place was awful as all the other dishes were equally as bad. I've never had worse seafood in all my travels as this place but the worst came with the bill, crazy expensive outside of anything other than a Michelin starred restaurant. What am I missing? Food in CDMX is hit or miss in general but this place puts miss on a whole new level. If you want to drop a few thousand pesos on rubbery nasty 🤢 seafood then by all means,...
