I think images speak by themselves. Just have a look. This is probably the worst hotel experience we have ever had! They advertise themselves as a modern luxury 5 stars hotel in the heart of Mexico City, at least that’s what their website says. But as you can see on the pictures, I don’t think this is even a one star hotel. I was really surprised because they belong to the Spanish chain Eurostars hotels, and we have previously stayed in so many Eurostars hotels that we were shocked when we arrived to Exe Suites San Marino.

Their rooms can be outdated, I will be fine with that, the issue here is that the rooms were extremely dirty. On top of that, it was imposible to sleep due to the noise of the AC machine, not really an AC, that was imposible to turn off, and the noise from the street. Also, the beds were extremely small and uncomfortable.

After the first night we changed rooms, the second one was a little bit better but still dirty and noisy. We tried to speak to the manager but it was impossible. Then we tagged and wrote to Eurostars hotels and thanks to that the manager contacted us by phone. He was just apologising but he didn’t offered us any solutions. I asked him for a refund since we prepaid for the whole 5 nights stay, but he said that was not possible. We spoke with Eurostars again and then we received an email from the manager confirming that we will get a full refund but we must leave the hotel that same day.

We were thankful since we will be going out of there anyway after of two nights of no sleep, but we had to change our entire plans in order to exchange hotels. The manager mentioned that they will help us to find another hotel, but that was not the case.

Just avoid to stay there. I don’t understand how a hotel chain like Eurostars is putting their name in such a place.

To be fair I must say that the location is exceptional and the price is really good. Now I...

Take a minute to read this, I just stay there for a week and won’t stay there ever again. Let me start with saying that the staff is AMAZING. Such lovely people and always ready to help. The hotel is NOT a 5 star hotel. It looks like it was at one point but they never kept remodeling it and now is like 2 stars. The good: great location, you can walk everywhere. The breakfast you can include, is for the restaurant next door and its buffet and super good. Great views, very spacious, they clean your room everyday. The bad: The sink faucet is rusted and the shower has sediment. The bed is hard and the AC is connected to the whole building so sometimes you’ll be super cold and sometimes super hot. The wifi is NON EXISTENT basically so don’t rely on that. We reported it and the staff tried to do what they can but there’s not much to do if management doesn’t fix it. The tv has the worst channels and not an option to connect to streaming services. Also the noise from the street and the sun will wake you up early every morning. And while we were there, they were fixing the elevator so we had to go to one floor, take a very old elevator to the floor before us and then walk the stairs. And then come down 11 floors. Which is fine for us but I wonder what if you have someone who can’t walk? They should have a plan for those scenarios.

So I would say that if you are not too picky, won’t spend time in the room and want to stay somewhere with beautiful views but not crazy expensive like the ones near by, stay here. But if you need reliable internet, comfy bed, clean showers and don’t care about the size of the room, then look for a different option. There are smaller places around the same price but not with...

The hotel is strategically located, close to Angel de la Independencia, so nearby extablishments are walking distance for your convenience. If your goal is to be in an area where you can easily move around the city, this is the right area. However, it can get very loud at night since there is a restaurant bar at the ground level so if you're someone looking for a place to relax and peaceful rest, this might not be the right location for you. The building is relatively old. The room is fairly clean, you can tell they did clean the room before you check in because of the scent of the cleaning products. However, I can still see some dust, and it seems like the plates and glasses aren't polished enough to appear "clean". The airconditioning unit is so old and it didnt make the room cold at all. It was practically a fan. The coffee maker also is old and looks dirty. Could use a replacement. During the day, people are making renovations so you can hear loug banging sounds while you are trying to catch some sleep. The carpets at the hallways also look dirty. They need to be replaced and at least vacuumed regularly. The area has so much potential, just need major maintenance/repair investment to restore its old charm. The staff are friendly and respectful. I would hope however, that the hotel can be more flexible with early check ins. We were literally asked to...

Do not be fooled by the glossy photos on the website. This second floor room is dark, outdated and incredibly noisy, nothing like the bright and beautiful images of the room I supposedly booked. Upon check in, they announce that they have already charged my card (despite written mentions from the booking service that it would charged upon arrival) "We can do this!". What appears to have been a good deal online is the price without the taxes and room fees. They also note that I would have to move rooms tomorrow as I cannot be accommodated in the same room for the entire stay. It is not possible to watch the tv from the bed or the couch-- this could be very annoying for some people. The wood floorboards are coming up and the hum of the refrigerator is very loud. These issues are inconvenient to say the least. The lobby is very cramped and in need of refurbishment. This first impression is not the way you want to begin your business trip/holiday. As I am not the first one to have this experience at this hotel, I encourage you to look elsewhere.
