If you're visiting Mexico City, I highly recommend this charming restaurant! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and inviting ambiance that made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. One of the highlights of our visit was the live mariachi band that serenaded us with a beautiful song, adding such a lively and authentic touch to our experience. Our server, Galvo, went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable dining experience. He recommended a fantastic mezcal that we really enjoyed – his expertise and friendliness made all the difference. The staff was attentive and kind throughout the evening, creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Overall, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone in Mexico City. Great food, fantastic ambiance, and exceptional service!

Authentic Mexican restaurant with indoor/outdoor seating and a great atmosphere. It was so impressive the first time we ate breakfast there, that we decided go back again on a Sunday morning. Our waitress was Rafaela both times. She and everyone there gave us outstanding service. All the food is fresh- with homemade salsas, marmalades and fresh baked sweet breads. I can highly recommend the Venezuelan coffee, the Mexican cafe de olla, the huevos jarochos and the chilequiles verdes but probably not with bistec as shown in the photo as it was a little tough. Definitely give this place a try!

While a Mexican restaurant mostly serving food from Veracruz, they also have a lot of other Mexican classics as well. I would highly recommend their Mole Poblano from Puebla. The spacious interior offers a luxurious feel but the prices are quite reasonable. Their toritos, similar to frozen margaritas, are delicious and reasonably priced and they also provide some delicious appetizer snacks like jicama, stingray, chips & salsa, cauliflower, and peppers. The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. They have menus in both English and Spanish, but the staff mostly speaks Spanish.

We were wary at first because at first glance it looks like a bit of a tourist trap. But the food wildly surpassed our expectations. Not everything was perfect (tamal was rather tasteless, and the drinks list isn't great) but the things that were good were really memorable. Days later I keep thinking about the layers of flavour in the Sorpresa Veracruzana (a poblano stuffed with crab and fried in a plantain batter). Also nice to see staff apparently enjoying themselves.

Also, in reference to a negative review below... Who tf orders 'egg whites' and then complains that they're tasteless? Stick to your protein shake and leave the actual restaurants for...
