I can't help but share my heartfelt experience at Gaba restaurant in Mexico City. In my first few months of settling into this bustling city, Gaba quickly became more than just a place to dine—it felt like a second home. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warmth by every member of their team. They embraced me as part of their family, a feeling that has endured with each visit.

During Ramadan this year, I made the choice to fast from sunrise until sunset. While I didn't want to confine myself indoors, finding a welcoming space outside my home posed a challenge. However, Gaba was an exception. Despite my fasting, they graciously welcomed me to work there, understanding and respecting my commitment. It was a gesture that touched me deeply, fostering a sense of belonging and acceptance.

I must give special recognition to Zayd, the talented barista whose passion infuses every drink with richness and flavor. His dedication shines through, evident in every sip. And to Adolfo, whose infectious smile and jovial spirit make every interaction a joyous one. Their genuine warmth added an extra layer of delight to my visits at Gaba.

If you find yourself in Mexico City, I urge you to pay a visit to Gaba. Beyond the delectable food and beverages, you'll be enveloped in the same warmth and hospitality that has made it a cherished sanctuary for me. Trust me, it's an experience you won't...

If you're looking for a truly special dining experience in Condesa, look no further than Gaba. This cozy and elegant restaurant is a genuine hidden gem, offering a delightful escape from the bustling city. We stumbled upon Gaba a couple of hours before our dinner reservation at Pujol, seeking something light to tide us over. We were absolutely thrilled with our discovery. The menu is designed for sharing, encouraging a communal and relaxed dining experience. From their fresh, vibrant salads to the hearty pork chop, every dish we tried was simply amazing.

A word to the wise: don't get carried away with the smaller bites, as the main shared plates are surprisingly generous! We ordered the pork chop, and it was not only wonderfully prepared but also a substantial portion, easily satisfying our appetites.

Beyond the fantastic food, the staff at Gaba truly elevates the experience. They are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, happy to guide you through the menu and offer recommendations.

Gaba is the perfect spot for a relaxed yet refined meal, whether you're looking for a pre-dinner snack or a full evening out with friends. It's a place that will undoubtedly leave you...

Would come back for the catch of the day because the crispy skin on the fish and the green sauce were PHENOMENAL.

Extremely attentive service and patience from our waiter Said. New plates and utensils were given for almost every dish.

My recommendations in this order: Catch of the day - the green sauce is amazing. Wish I could have the recipe or buy a bottle of the sauce Pork ear (surprisingly good even with all the apple! The almonds make it chefs kiss) Pork tomahawk - nice flavor on the meat. But too much vinaigrette on the lettuce Crudo of the day - the fish was very fresh and liked the contrast with the crispy rice

My friends loved the clams and the bread that came with it but it was okay to me.

Would pass on the grilled oyster mushroom because it is way too charred for my taste.

Don't order the mussels! The macha sauce on it tasted AMAZING but when we mixed the dish together as recommended, the acidity of the dish was weird and didn't go well.

The dishes I didn't like didnt diminish my experience, as my friends did enjoy the dishes that weren't my favorite.

I'd...

Best restaurant in Mexico City hands down. This is my second time visiting this city, I've made my rounds through several restaurants here and was blown away by my meal at Gaba. I love how the menu is fairly small and digestible (no decision paralysis) and that the plates are meant for sharing. Ordered four things and every dish was amazing with combinations of flavors I've never had before. Sea bass crudo with cantaloupe and carrots, nduja toast, cucumbers with cilantro XO and creme fraiche (what a combination!), and pork tomahawk cooked pastor style with grilled pineapple and a spicy accompanying salad side. I also came another morning for their pastries, tried the kouign amann and the chocolate concha. It was my first time having a kouign amann leaning more on the savory side, it was sprinkled with some cardamom and other spices and was strangely addictive. The chocolate layer on the concha was obviously made with really high quality chocolate as the flavor was very deep.
