Review for Taj Mahal
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
If you’re craving authentic Indian cuisine with a modern twist, Taj Mahal is an absolute must-visit. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor is a perfect blend of traditional Indian aesthetics and contemporary elegance, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience.
Food: The menu offers a wide range of dishes, from classic North Indian curries to flavorful South Indian delicacies. I ordered the Butter Chicken, which was rich and creamy, and the Garlic Naan, which was perfectly soft with just the right amount of crispiness. The vegetarian options are equally impressive—don’t miss the Paneer Tikka and Dal Makhani. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with authentic flavors.
Service: The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we felt comfortable throughout the meal. They were knowledgeable about the menu and helped us select dishes that suited our spice preferences.
Ambience: The subtle background music and thoughtfully arranged seating made it a perfect spot for both intimate dinners and group outings. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, adding to the overall experience.
Value for Money: The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable given the quality of the food and service. It’s worth every penny!
Overall, Taj Mahal offers an unforgettable culinary journey through India. Whether you’re a fan of Indian food or trying it for the first time, this place will not disappoint. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Read moreAfter a week immersed in Mexican flavors, our longing for Indian spices led us to discover this extraordinary restaurant. As someone raised on South Indian cooking, I approached with the careful skepticism of those who know authentic flavors—and was delightfully proven wrong at every turn.
The heart of this place shines through its people. When we called last minute, they not only kept their doors open but welcomed us with genuine warmth and smiles that made us feel like honored guests rather than late-night inconveniences.
Every dish arrived at our table radiating freshness and heat—the hallmark of truly thoughtful preparation. The butter chicken captivated our children, who eagerly scooped up every morsel with perfectly prepared naan. Meanwhile, the tandoori dishes transported the adults among us to culinary heaven with their expert seasoning and traditional cooking techniques. Even the Bengali-style biryani, while different from what I was accustomed to, provided a fascinating regional perspective on this beloved dish.
Beyond just exceptional food, the restaurant's inviting ambience created the perfect backdrop for our family dinner. The attention to detail in both service and setting completed an experience that wasn't just a meal, but a celebration.
Don't miss this opportunity to experience Indian cuisine crafted with authentic passion and served with genuine hospitality. Your taste buds—and your heart—will thank...
Read moreBoth times my husband and I have eaten here, they try to scam you by adding 5 pesos extra to each item that you order. We are lucky that we cross referenced prices on the menu because when we got the bill we were surprised at how high it was. Both times my husband asked the owner about it, he denies it and then tries to argue about what you ordered. He then proceeded to ask where we are from (we live in Mexico City and speak fluent Spanish ) as if to imply that if you’re not from there or if you live in a nice neighborhood that you shouldn’t be arguing the price. He then proceeded to ask what we do for work??? Both times he never apologized, although he did reluctantly fix the check to the appropriate total. The only reason we gave this place a second chance is because the food is actually good, but after two times of them trying to over charge us, we won’t be going back. He most likely does this to every customer (there were many tourists at the restaurant since it’s in Condesa). Please don’t support this...
